I have a light black dark gray texture but nothing else. If I climb up in the business world, I may get more suits (especially more casual suits) but I wear a polo+jeans and my management all the way up to director wears a collared button-down and nothing fancy for pants. By the time I'd need suits I'd be making well over 7-figs and could easily afford it.
brother's right. but i'll add a thing or two. you don't have to buy them all at once, but when you do try to start at fitted suits, $300 - $500 US a pop, the shirts you can literally buy at Walmart and no one will know the difference. if you're strapped for money you can find second hand suits cheap at a thrift, good will or online but you'll probably have to have them altered. you'll get away spending less than $100 but it might turn out great. good custom suits start at $1000 and include a shirt. so you'll be up for 5 grand but if you should clear the 5 suits in a year swapping out the old ones as you go. when you're ready to buy $5000 suits you've made it. quick tip: i took a trip to bangkok and had 5 decent suits, shirts and a charcoal overcoat made for less than $2900, plus the trip.
Navy blue for the first suit. It's more versatile. You can even get away with it in a black tie event. Also, if the fabric does not match with the jacket and trousers, it's not a suit.
That's a legitimate fashion decision, although not traditional, it's completely valid in modern times. It's a preference. And you're not better than anyone else, or more valid for having yours.
@IntegrityGames you calling it a fashion decision does mean a.) Its good and b.) That it fits. Clearly, those pants dont fit And yes, i am better at dressing myself because i do not intentionally wear stuff that doesnt fit.

You can’t wear a black suit to a job interview. Black is only for funerals and weddings I thought. Charcoal can be worn for pretty much any occasion though
Absolutely don't get black as the first one. Grey or Navy are so much more versatile. The only reason you would absolutely need a black one is for a funeral, and honestly if you show up in a dark grey or dark navy suit nobody will think less of you for it.
That's so cool that this demo is shown with two different sized models. I worked in fashion for years and was dating this guy that had no fashion sense. He had a lot of great pieces in his closet that his mother would buy him. There was an event at his company, so I pulled pieces from his closet and styled him. He looked really sharp. When we got there, his cronies kept kidding him about "looking good", while they looked like they just came from a soup kitchen. He was uncomfortable with their comments, and afterward, he went back to dressing crappy and all those beautiful (and expensive) suits his mom bought ended up being donated to a local charity. Back in the 1990 $1K for a suit was a lot of money to spend. I'm sure the person that bought a $1K suit for $20 bucks was probably in hog heaven 😁
I agree. In my opinion, brown suits don’t work on everyone and they don’t match with most other colours (like a white or blue shirt or with white or grey trousers).
As long as the suit fits well. Nothing worse than an ill fitting suit. Cheaper suits from big chain stores are fine, but find a nice little lady in your city that does laundry and adjustments and she'll make that suit fit you properly, usually pretty cheap too.
This is why as a woman I love men's fashion. It’s so simple. I get dizzy in the women's department, I hate it. I had a shopping spree in the men's section once (for work and lounge clothing) best shopping experience in my life. I wish there was a women's store with all the basics, high quality and simple without all the unnecessary frills.
When I was in college, I got a job at a suit store and used the employee discount over next few years to build my professional wardrobe. What they're doing in this clip works really well as a selling tactic, and you'd be surprised how many people would come in to buy one suit and walk out with 2-3. That being said, it's not as simple as they make it. Yes you can break one suit set and mix it with another set, but you gotta what you're doing. If you are mixing suits from different seasons or wool types, there is a very good chance you will end up looking like a mook. Higher grade wools will have a nice sheen to them for example, while a super 100 wool will look dull in comparison. You put them together and it just looks awful, especially in photographs. If you dont have a good eye for detail, a sport coat is a much safer bet for mixing and matching. A sport coat will look good whether you wear it with slacks, or opt for a more casual option like jeans. If you mix a suit jacket with jeans on the other hand, it will look terrible.
Thanks for the info. I was thinking the same thing. Seems to me also the suits need to be off the same material type to be passed off as a two toned hook up. I can see someone picking a linen suit, a worsted wool, a tweed, a Shark skin and a silk trying to hook them pieces up😂

you don't have to buy them all at once, but when you do try to start at fitted suits, $300 - $500 US a pop, the shirts you can literally buy at Walmart and no one will know the difference.
if you're strapped for money you can find second hand suits cheap at a thrift, good will or online but you'll probably have to have them altered. you'll get away spending less than $100 but it might turn out great.
good custom suits start at $1000 and include a shirt. so you'll be up for 5 grand but if you should clear the 5 suits in a year swapping out the old ones as you go. when you're ready to buy $5000 suits you've made it.
quick tip: i took a trip to bangkok and had 5 decent suits, shirts and a charcoal overcoat made for less than $2900, plus the trip.
Navy blue for the first suit. It's more versatile. You can even get away with it in a black tie event. Also, if the fabric does not match with the jacket and trousers, it's not a suit.

That's so cool that this demo is shown with two different sized models. I worked in fashion for years and was dating this guy that had no fashion sense.

Pro tip . Don't get brown and avoid bold stripes. It's not easy to pull off ... You're better off getting getting a checked or window pane pattern .
I agree. In my opinion, brown suits don’t work on everyone and they don’t match with most other colours (like a white or blue shirt or with white or grey trousers).
Facts
the same with black. black should never be your first suit
Sorry brown suits are actually extremely sexy and well done, you just don’t have to the skin tone or body to pull it off and that’s ok
Also brown literally goes with every color…. Brown is THE go too complementary color, gold isn’t too far off from the spectrum of brown!

Nothing worse than an ill fitting suit. Cheaper suits from big chain stores are fine, but find a nice little lady in your city that does laundry and adjustments and she'll make that suit fit you properly, usually pretty cheap too.
@@matthiashejlskov5008 tailors. 120 dollars on a cheap fitting is still cheaper tham a nuce suit.
Very much appreciated.
Look sharp, BE sharp and it's relatively simple. Thanks guys.
Thank you for the information!
Thanks for the info. I was thinking the same thing. Seems to me also the suits need to be off the same material type to be passed off as a two toned hook up. I can see someone picking a linen suit, a worsted wool, a tweed, a Shark skin and a silk trying to hook them pieces up😂
What's your opinion on their fit? I think the suits seems badly fitted for them. Am I wrong?
@@scoobydoo2587the short fits where definitely bad, to baggy. Pant cuffs where off, more pants on the left where way too baggy, and most pants on the right where waaaay to tight.
