Can you tell me the rare candy code you use in your nuzlocke pls
I'm running my own nuzlocke and the grind is hard
I play on supernds btw
Ohh, I wonder if we could make the game completely turn based then have all the npcs have ai so they'll battle and level up on their own.
Damn boi nice looking
Did he just made a Friendlock without friends ?
Friendlesslock
Less Friend more Lock
He did, this mf did it
Friendlock pokemon Player edition
The least likable guy did a friendlocke how-
"AI will take over the world"
Also AI: **throws a Master Ball on the enemy trainer's Nosepass**
AI will, this was not AI, AI implies it learns
AI will, this was not AI, AI implies it learns
AI is artificial intelligence - anything that makes decisions on its own, autonomously
ML, machine learning, can inform an AI on how to make better decisions
@@T-kn5zw yep
Granted plenty of humans have also thrown a ball at an enemy trainer's pokemon (just to see what it does).
Ahhh, This is the greatest AI ever. Masterball, Magnitude on Flying types, Mirror Coat.
I think the Master ball is because the only trainer class in the base game that has balls is the thief class.
Don't forget the best strategy of all time: Splash!
@@johannesneumayer6041I have never heard of a thief trainer class before, is that an actual thing and if so, does it ever appear in game?
@@tunnelsnake420 they were not present in later generations, but they appeared in Kanto and Jotho. Their gimmick was that they threw pokeballs at your pokemon (which always failed). I assume they were coded into emerald as leftover from firered and leafgreen code.
@@johannesneumayer6041 so were they just coded into the game but never showed up? because I've played the johto games like 100x and never heard of this
When I read this video title I muttered to myself "there's no fucking way".
Wobbuffet and Graveler taking easy wins and tossing the in the toilet is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Peak AI.
Wobbufet makes sense
Mirror coat is a psychic move -> "super effective" -> priority to use
@@TyroRNGBut like, it used Counter once!
This has the same energy as watching your son fight someone on the playground
AN UPPERCUT. AN *UPPERCUT* TIMMY, COME ON, GET HIS ASS, MAKE DADDY PROUD
You've got to love how the video goes from watching the AI try to handle itself to varying (read: barely) success, to Jan figuring out how to control it to guarantee wins.
Move Deleter did wonders
that Absol strat was sick
It was so hype
I was low key expecting the leppa berry to restore swords dance pp instead.🤣
@@3eve0n Fortunately, the berry only activates in battle to heal the PP of a move with 0 PP.
Why does he need to swords dance before using shadow ball? swords dance raises attack and shadow ball uses special attack to calculate damage.
@@Simonetti19 it's a gen 3 game. the physical-special split wasn't properly implemented until gen 4.
gen 3 split has typings locked in either physical or special. i.e. all water moves regardless of if it makes contact or not are considered special moves. Ghost falls under the physical category thus making the swords dance strat viable
The AI deciding to try and master ball an enemy trainers pokemon was gold.
I would’ve never thought of that Leppa berry/Absol strat in a million years, my GOAT 🐐
fr, i was like, damn this mf smart as hell
@@davidseymour1317he isn't the best nuzlocker for nothing
Even the AI knows how to throw for content
As someone who plays Football Manager a lot, this seems like the perfect mix, you just set the team and hope it does well lol
Glad someone else thought of FM
Question, what's the draw of playing a game like that?
Unless I'm misunderstanding, you're not actually playing the game, you just focus on building a team, then hoping it does well on its own?
Wouldn't actually playing a fifa game be more enjoyable, or am I missing something
@@Grumpisaurus There's more freedom in Football Manager. Manage clubs (or even national team) whatever you want, develop players, bring a small team to the top division, create your own tactic, etc etc.
That's where the addiction is
@@Grumpisaurus Building the team IS the game. The strategy you employ when doing so is what gives it value.
@@Grumpisaurusthink of it in the same vein of a Civ/Total War game where youre building something to then use against the AI also trying to build something
This was an incredible watch! The unique strategies needed to force the AI to do what you want? Man the leppa berry Absol was just so high tier. Just awesome.
Graveler trolling by finally attacking with Rock Smash is so funny lmaooo
At times it really felt as if "AI" stood for artificial incompetence.
Wait, it doesn’t!?
That Leppa/Swords Dance strat was nuts. Awesome.
We need a "attempting a nuzlocke but AI is Alpharad" Challange like you did with smallant!! Just thinking about it is exiting!!
Only if Alpharad is not the enemy ai but the player ai cuz no way he's beating Jan.
That Absol strat alone is enough to have earned yourself a new sub .. class video, looking forward to more!
We’ll just toss that Masterball throw up to being RNG manipulation
I thought this was gonna be uninteresting, but there were actually some insane strategies born from this!
Thats the most creative challenge I’ve seen in a while. Keep it up man!
So basically its like that Hoenn Battle Frontier challenge where they fight based upon their Natures. Except its not Nature based of course.
Jan will always find a way to get carried by Swellow and I love it
Risk of rain 2 soundtrack goes so dam hard Jan. Mad respect to you or the editor for putting it as the back ground music
Love that Jan keeps coming up with more creative nuzlocke content. Great vid as always!
Neat idea! Would be cool to see a version of this where mons ai only controls move usage, but the player can still determine switches and item usage. Could maybe even have some kind of obedience mechanic that factors nature and trainer relationship. A disobedient mon can have a chance to refuse to fight, or refuse to retreat and use an item or switch out, while a very obedient mon could maybe sometimes be given a move command or some other kind of boost by the trainer.
I would have laughed if the AI just swapped out Absol because it had no attacking moves left.
My jaw actually dropped hearing that Absol strat you're so sick
I'm enjoying my New Year's food while chilling to this video. I got behind on a lot of videos throughout the holidays, so this is nice!
Top level gameplay on all sides! This is what I watch these videos for! Shoutouts to Wingull for the Roxanne carry.
Loved your ad read! They are definitely getting better, and I'm all for it!
When I think there are no more ideas for a nuzlocke, we get gifted with another banger of a video!
Man you dont know how much we missing your nuzlockes. But this was definitely an interesting video. The ending got me by surprise. Laughed too hard
Gotta love the wobafett AI seeing mirror coat as a super effective attack and using that because it saw the kill with it
Honestly this is the way battling with sentient creatures should work. You make the team, and pray they win.
This is how the game godhood works, except technically you're not the one praying lol
Actually, Emerald does have a battle frontier facility where your Pokémon choose moves for themselves.
@@ZichqecI think autobattlers are a whole genre. I’m honestly surprised they never made a Pokémon one.
@@solgaleo3533 oh yeahhh it does, doesn't it. damn it's been a long time lol
Unironically one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a while. I hope this rom gets released
This is one of the most creative challenges I've seen in a while. Now do it with Battle Palace AI. XD
The risk of rain music playing after the AD... I knew Jan was a man of culture (or at least the editor, shoutouts)
EVEN THOUGH I watched the VODs of this run I was still hyped for the video (maybe more hyped???) and it delivered. Some very cool strats in that run.
That Absol strategy was pretty damn clever.
I like this idea. With better ai I wouldn't mind just prepping my team and seeing how they perform.
Never expect the risk of rain soundtrack in the background but that's always nice to hear
This is proof that Jan isn’t the never proud hallmark film father than Alpharad says he is LOL
The trapinch dig strat was actually awesome, good plan Jan!
Love how you scaled back the Tate/Liza strategy of explosion to just one instead of two
Nice, a new PChal video
That leppa strat was nuts. Great vid Jan
18:15 Ayyy Slay the Spire! I legitimately thought it was Pokemon music at first
Brilliant concept. This shit is so simple and yet so creative. I’ve not seen anyone else do this yet.
If you want to build on this idea, how about you try to incorporate the way that the Battle Palace works, and have the nature of each Pokemon matter as well for determining which move gets chosen?
PC I want it to be known that your bg music choices are absolute peak
Sometimes I literally think about what would happen if the player was bound to the same rules as the AI in Pokemon. I greatly enjoy the answer.
Loved the conclusion pretty inspiring
0:30 I always thought pokemon would be the best franchise to make an autobattler around.
Excited to watch.
I never knew I needed a pokemon auto-battler in my life, but now I do.
Neat run & analysis video! Once again, thanks for uploading!
I loved this! You should try the same challenge in other pokemon games!
The leppa berry swordsdance strat was nuts. 10/10 exploitation lol well done.
Chef’s Kiss. Well done. This video
Is why I will never unsubscribe. Respect.
Never imagined this as a nuzlocke, brilliant idea
Loving the heart soundtrack as you get to the final Boss :D
Such big brain plays to get an auto-battler to do what you want haha! Great video!
Thank you Jan for finally making a friendlocke I know that Salty’s JUST ended but I needed some more
i love the Risk of Rain soundtrack :)) great video idea btw ^^
You should do more of these in different Pokémon games!! I think itd be interesting to see in another run where there isn't so much swellow beat down xD
last 2 seconds are pure gold 😂
This stream would go so hard with chat betting on match outcomes
I recently subscribed for your 151 attempts video but I genuinely enjoy your content
The leppa berry play is so genius!
This seems like it could be the basis for a sort of “tower defense” game where you play as a Gym Leader
such a cool concept
This is definitely a bizarre challenge. You're effectively planning out which pokemon to lose in each major battle
Best outro ever
All I have to say is W use of Risk of Rain 2 music. Mad respect
loved the conclusion of this run xD
this is such an interesting concept, i wonder if you could do it in platinum as well
Oh man, the route 115 incident is even crazier living it back. Unreal rng
this is actually so cool
watched that trapinch take on the world live hes my hero
Love the Risk of Rain 2 music in the background
1:39 Alpharad TPP Chat moment lmaooo
Deep and thoughtful conclusion strimmer man
Jokes aside, this AI is somehow worse than Gen 2's... real downgrade between gens there
HOORAY NEW PCHAL UPLOAD
Loved the risk of rain music
14:30 this is the exact moment he descended into total madness.
Wow this is such a amazing accomplishment! Never thought I would see the day a ai nuzlocke 😂
The lepa berry absol is the most big brain goated play i have ever seen
Loving the Risk of Rain backing track!!!
Ahhhh wake up in the morning, and watch a Pokémon challenge video, today is good
I love the risk of rain 2 music in the backround 5:35 - 6:20
4:19 risk of rain 2 title screen music 🗣🔥💯
hat off to the absol strategy, smart move!
Pokémon team manager could make a fun game. You run a Pokémon trainer stable/gym and organise teams and move sets with bonuses to EVs/IVs if you specialise in a type of
That Leppa Berry Absol strat was pure genius
I love when Jan switches to full face cam and we get to play "which one of the three sponsors is this bit for?"
Damn, Jan's got a mane now. Good look.
Oh, and the ai shenanigans are cool, too.
That master ball throw had me laughing. 😆So random. The Wobbuffet and Graveler shenanigans as well I was like wtf whyy?! And Jan literally was feeling so fed up with AI hahaha.
Also pre Poison, Guts boosted Facade Swellow is such a savage mon. Freaking rips through opponents leaving piles of fainted Pokémon on it's way. 😆
I like how you have to sack mons every gym. It makes things really spicy.
He just foreshadowed it, he´ll fund the development of a pokemon TFT
Leppa berry strat was pretty mind blowingly clever
