- Ok, one of our most popular videos of the year, this is our 2023 Chateau Walk through video. This time we do three levels, the first time walking through our basement (Sous sol). Then a quick bonus amazing! French meal, and the "Return of the Urns" :)

F.Y.I. Beth, pink daffodils do exist. They're quite lovely too.
I suspect the French obsession with symmetry explains the transom that doesn't work. They put false doors in their châteaux too, in order to make rooms appear balanced.

Everything is looking great! And congrats on getting the urns put back. Each upgrade you make adds to the whole, and the roof repair will mean you won't have so much mold, and your plaster/paint repairs won't need to be redone. Exciting days ahead with your new class. I lost count of how many bathrooms there are. Also can't wait for the remodeling of the 3rd floor after the roof gets done.

My lady and I have been following you from the beginning! The house went to the right people for the right reason and you have filled it with laughter and young dreams! What a wonderful teaching tool the chateau is for young people who live in such bland times where life is always on fast forward toward mediocrity. Good morning and we definitely do love love the chateau and you and what you are doing. You've accomplished so much and come so far!! The chateau looks really gorgeous. Bravo!! Great job also with getting those urns back up.
A little tip to minimise water condensation on the walls of a bathroom, you can put a piece of corflute over the top of the shower. It also acts to keep the warmth inside the shower cubicle while showering. Increasingly here in Australia we are using dehumidifiers to reduce moisture and mould indoors. I have a 100 year old house and that works a treat. Can also be used to dry clothes at a pinch, or at least finish off the drying after bringing them inside from the clothesline.

Wow! For those of us have watched you from the beginning we can really see the unbelievable transformation. To think of the hours, blood sweat and tears you two have put in and the cold nights to get this beautiful building up on her feet again is just amazing. Every other YT channel does renovations for personal profit and gain. You two are the only ones doing all this for a truly honourable reason and I have such respect and admiration for you both. The youth that you will bring such joy to that otherwise may never have had the chance will be so lucky and I am sure very great full for what you have done. I was really surprised at how much you got done and to such a good standard in such a short time with huge limitations on everything. I am very excited for this summer and the Chateau being full of youth and energy and yes, the roof getting done too! Very exciting time ahead so pleased for you both and thank you for reaching out to the wider world to let others help you in your endeavour.

Beautiful. To simplify... Instead of three meals... You could do two structured meals a day...breakfast and dinner...and then for lunch...You can create a serve yourself set up for them to make a sandwich for themselves with fruit and veg - cheese - available. It will lessen the number of dishes...because a lot of people only eat meals once or twice a day and they snack the rest of the day.
That chandelier in the grand salon is breathtaking. I'd add some crystals to the chandelier in the foyer.

Should make it the ladybug room ,and I think you can get pinkish daffodils from Holland bulbs
consider fiberglass tape, that you would plaster over..... but paper & fabric are options

Beautiful, suggestion which I am sure you have thought of in painted ceiling room. Run cord along one of beams ,painted color of ceiling, to light spot. Only way without drilling which would be awful. Ask museum of Paris or of France how to c!ean ceiling without destroying paint.
