What exactly is the difference between "highly evolved instinct" and "intelligence"?
Must be conservative religious 'scientists' not wanting to recognize the actual world around them.
+Xenkenito A dog wagging its tail is an instinct. Even though it can communicate by that. The dog is not intelligent enough to say "Hey, I will wag my tail to show them I am friendly." They just somehow now this. By heritage.
@wolfof and how do you identify if it is highly evolved instinct or intelligence in case of this vulture?
I'm pretty sure the difference is with intelligence meaning it figured it out by learning (watching someone else use a stone to crack the egg) or association (hard surface + egg makes it break) through wisdom, where instinct is just knowing to do it through heritage without ever being taught to do so.
They make up terms and models so that it appears scientific but its not backed by any evidence or any real data; just some graduate thesis that said it and now they can quote it as being an actual source.
