In Episode 5 I'm hiking through the beautiful Ennerdale Forest following the Rive Liza south, a few days of rain showers made this classic hike an autumn adventure I’ll never forget. “ In the forest hides a light “ And now he is withdrawn into a little land, within bounds that he has set, though none can see them, waiting perhaps for a change of days, and he will not step beyond them.
My route took me from Bleach Green Cottages up river of the Ehen and along the southern side of Ennerdale Water. Through Ling Mell Plantations I reached the beginning of the Ennerdale Forest, following the southern banks of the River Liza I countinued to Middle Bridge where I brewed up and enjoyed the tranquil sounds of the rock pools of the Liza. From Middle Bridge a footpath takes you through the forest and up to the Shamrock Traverse. From there a short scramble past High Man and the Looking Stead to the summit of Pillar.

Ennerdale is my most favourite place ever, first went there in 76 then again in 77 with the school on a weeks camp, go up there when I can, but not often enough, your picture quality on this video is amazing, will be going up next summer for a week to wild camp at the places we camped at in the 70s, excellent video 👍thanks Steve the Bolton Wanderer 🎪🎪🥾🥾🍺🍺

I'm late to the party and only just discovered your videos. I love them. No talking, with emphasis on the nature with superb photography and videography. I usually just like natural sounds and not music but your choice of music is soothing and you dont block out all sounds of nature. In addition it provides ideas for my next hiking or backpacking trip. So Ennerdale is right up there. Thankyou. Your hard work brings much pleasure.
