  • Today I'm sharing my Le Creuset collection. In case you didn't know, pink is my favorite color! Do you use any Le Creuset in your kitchen? I'd love to hear about it!
    Thanks for watching!
    *The 'berry' color on the website is dark pink ombre so when I said the website had no pink options, I meant no straight up light pink. I just wasn't specific enough.
    **Thanks for the kind comments and views! Despite also receiving a few negative comments, I am glad to share and chat with other LC fans.

    This video is a bit older, so it's possible someone has already mentioned this, but the different between Pink Chiffon and Shell Pink is that Shell pink is a white to pink ombre and Pink Chiffon is a solid pink color. Solid colors can sometimes be an indicator that a colorway was a straight to outlet color, though not always.

    • @HelloLaurenYouTube
      @HelloLaurenYouTube  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes the shell pink's ombre is easier to distinguish from some of the solid shades, for sure. I don't have any in that color but it's lovely!

    Oh wow! I love Le Creuset so much. I haven’t moved out from my parents’ place yet but as soon as I discovered this brand, I just had to start collecting. I have 8 bowls, 4 breakfast sized and 4 small ones. I want to add ramekins, salt & pepper mills and other types of tableware later on!! Can’t get enough of it 😹

    • @HelloLaurenYouTube
      @HelloLaurenYouTube  Před 3 lety +2

      You're off to a good start! Based on what colors you like, I bet you could find things at an outlet mall and pay a bit less. You have some fun collecting ahead of you once you have a place! I also started before I got my first house and stashed stuff at my parents' house. I figured if I waited too long to get things I really liked (mainly for the pink items) I might not find them later on.

    I love your collection! From what I've learned online, Cocotte is just the french word for a Dutch oven, and the multiple color names on one box are because Le Creuset markets their products with different color names in different countries!

    Love your collection. Thank you for sharing. I’ve been eyeing LC for years and finally took the plunge when they started selling the color Ocean. I purchased 3.5 slanted or dome shaped pot in memory of my mom. Since we always vacationed together and water was involved. Anyways I then purchased the omelette pan and now waiting for my braiser with glass lid and the 6 qt Dutch oven as a Mother’s Day gift to myself. Now trying to get rid of pots I don’t use. Cooking with LC is part of my therapy. Lol

    I love your pink Le Creuset!!! 😍 You’ve inspired me to start collecting pink pieces. Too bad I’m super late to the party and pink pieces are very hard to find. If you want to get more pink pieces, try calling around to various LC outlet stores. Since it’s October “Pink” month, I’ve been able to get some more pink pieces like a 2.75 quart Dutch oven, canisters, spatulas, baking dishes and salt and pepper mills. LC Outlet stores will ship anywhere in the US for a small shipping fee. Good luck and happy shopping! 🛍

I am so late to the Le Creuset game, I saw a light pink Le Creuset on Pinterest years ago and was convinced that was going to be my first piece from them, and now that I’m finally ready to buy I’m realizing it’s super hard to find pink pieces 😂 whoops! Great video ❤️

      Thank you! Oh my gosh, I know how that goes. You’re ready to get the things you’ve been dreaming of and they’re nowhere to be found. If cookware isn’t easy to find I’d imagine you might be able to get a little bakeware at least at Home Goods or TJ Maxx come springtime. I’ve also found it helpful to join a LC fan group on Facebook because people post their outlet mall finds and some of those stores are willing to ship. Good luck in your search!

      Maybe if I do another video in the future I can show the interiors, thanks for letting me know. I don't think loop handles are available on the Dutch ovens though, at least from what I've seen. I agree the little round knobs aren't always ideal.

    • @HelloLaurenYouTube
      @HelloLaurenYouTube  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, since they're smaller they don't get quite as much use as the larger pots. I just have to plan for the smaller portions and not having as much or any leftovers for the next day. The red heart cocotte I use for things like rice, quinoa, steamed veggies, cheese sauce, oatmeal, pasta, a couple stuffed peppers, even easy boxed mac and cheese or soup mixes when I'm in the mood. :P The pink heart I usually use for desserts come to think of it. 'Skillet' cookies and brownies, apple crumble, s'mores dip.

      My family comes over quite often. I prefer to have enough cookware to cook large meals when needed. Do you use another term similar to Dutch oven to refer to the same kind of pot? The Le Creuset website uses that term (at least on their U.S. site) so it must vary depending on where you are.
