I could be wrong and I have just had a little read and suggest you do too, but you may have noticed the red/yellow cables at the stereo have bullet connectors, switching these red to yellow will give you the ignition live you want. Please double check but sure that's why they do it!!
Yeah I already tried that I remembered it's was always one or the other on Ford and Vauxhall's. On the Van from stock it doesn't have ignition live, need to see if it's been messed with or find the live
I have a volkswagen touran 2009 will this fit . Bought this car 2 weeks ago. It had what i was told Chinese crap car Bluetooth radio it kept running my car battery down . Will this pioneer car cd player do this. I have never put a car radio in before is it hard to do

Is the radio supposed to be 'on' all the time just because the ignition is on. I want to drive and have the radio completely off, no lights, no time etc? Is that possible? Did the guys just install it wrong? BTW, my car is an ancient but highly beloved Diahatsu Terios Tracker 1300 cc
Hi there thanks for the video I’m trying to connect a pioneer 130 dab and have managed to get it into the car however it doesn’t seem to find dab channels or any FM channels.. I noticed you put a small Ariel adapter in? Is that the part I’m missing ? Thanks
How did you fix this issue with permanent live? Did the ignition switch replacement fix it? My stereo stays on when the van is off also, thanks and kind regards 🤙

@@meatmanifesto I’ve had this issue, and after much research I got my mechanic to replace the ignition barrel and bingo, radio came on, he was shocked that it worked, also that radio I think needs set up, I had a switch so the stereo would run from the leisure battery, but it drained the main battery, so I removed that, then fitted an isolator switch so if the I have electrical issues in leisure battery it won’t drain my main battery.
Please cut the Wireloop from pin 4 to 5 and leave pin 5 empty, it is only for VW Original Radios and change the red and yellow wire, then the Ignition Key should work for powering on and off!
Was just trying this out still didn't work ☹️ However I found what the problem is, when you take the key out if the ignition the ignition lock is not engaging make the ignition on position 1 akways on 😂 and the steering lock is also not engaging...joys of T4s
@@meatmanifesto sounds curious, maybe ZAS is defect. my Radio is on from the first Time I start my T4 until I take out the key, this is normal behaviour in old VW. You can measure it with a mutlimeter on PIN 4 of Original Plug, the Ignition Power for Radio over ZAS must be at 12V when Ignition is turned on.
Hi!Did the stereo arrive with the ISO to PIONEER harness 'ready to fit' like in 1:45 or did you soldered / put the ends together?Because I have seen some videos and stuff of this stereo being unboxed and/or installed and half of the cases the cable harness was ion ''ready to fit'' state and the others were not like that.They were Pioneer to ''no end cable''

Different situation for each vehicle, there are connectors on the red and yellow cables, swap them around see if it helps you don't need to cut anything
Mine trips out every time I turn on the ignition. I have to take it out, unplug and re plug it in to get it to turn on! Tested in the wife's car and the same there. Common fault and mine is less than 2 years old!
I recently bought a pioneer stereo one slightly different to this one, and the wires and other plugs from my old radio don’t fit into my new pioneer does this mean I have to get it all re wired?
I hope its ok to ask another question. So the head unit out of the box came with the connectors that just fitted straight to the connectors to the T4. No extra converters needed? Thanks in advance of a reply!

Theres a setting on the headunit to turn off acc but cant find it my car doesnt have the ignition live either

Take a feed from the KL15 in the fuse box. That's a switched live.

yes you have to buy the aerial adaptor separately

Try swapping the red and yellow wires, my issue was a broken ignition barrel it wouldn't disengage

You can buy adaptor plugs that will make it fit, try searching on Google with the make and model of your vehicle
