Wonder what to do in Saudi Arabia? Looking for things to do in Riyadh? Look no further! This travel vlog episode features my day tour to the Edge of the World, an amazing natural wonder that is little known outside of Saudi Arabia. The Edge of the World is however a must-see Middle East Travel and sightseeing destination when in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia. The gigantic rock formation in the Arabian desert is a must-see when you visit Saudi Arabia nature. It is located about 2 hours from Riyadh, taking a desert drive through the Saudi Arabia desert.
I went with a tour operator and the video also shows an amazing Saudi desert campsite dinner and a cool (and somewhat spooky) bat cave visit at the end. The bat cave entrance was basically a hole with a ladder that led to the bat cave. Despite it being on a desert storm day or sand storm day, it was an amazing, unforgettable day and definitely a highlight of my trip to KSA. So if you plan to visit Saudi Arabia and you are looking for what to do when in riyadh, this is definitely a great sightseeing tip for an amazing Riyadh experience!

Thank you. I’ve listed my equipment in the video description. Most of this was shot with my gopro. I had to use a microphone muffler because it was very windy there. I’m glad the audio worked out on this one 😅

Is the walk to the Edge very strenuous or not-so-hard? Thanks for the comment to bring along sturdy walking / hiking shoes! I don’t want to slip while climbing or going down these rocky cliff sides!!
Charlie H No, it’s not a long or difficult walk. From the parking area it’s about 10-15 minutes and it’s all on gravel pathways. The only part that’s a bit tricky is the last part when you go down to the main rocks (which is not a requirement). There you just need good shoes as the gravel can be quite slippery and it’s a bit steep here and there.

can we go there by uber or taxi and will there be any other cost for entering the place or is it free to visit by anyone
Yes, you probably could take a taxi there but it’s quite a drive and I’m not sure whether many taxis or Ubers would want to take their cars on the rocky road. There is however no park entrance so anybody can just drive there
I am sure that you did not see a simple part of the wonderful places, it is a large country, you did not go to the south and north of Saudi Arabia, it is wonderful, but it is not famous with tourists because tourism did not last for a long time. Make a citizen you trust take you to these places
Yes, you are right: I have only seen a fraction of KSA. It’s a huge country and there is so much more to see. I hope I can visit both the North (Tabuk, Madain Saleh) and South (Jazan, Najran) next time inshallah
