The Angie theme song... One of the best..
I had the vinyl 45
Such a great tune! Still gives me chills!
That theme song was what got me hooked on the series, Ed.
Maureen McGovern - Different Worlds (1979)
I still listen to Different Worlds til this day
Who didn’t love Donna Pescow? She’s amazing. ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing, and beloved.
Had a crush since Saturday Night Fever
There was magic in the duo of Donna Pescow and Robert Hays as Angie and Brad - magic that can never be repeated. For one brief period of time, these two captured lightning in a bottle.
Donna, Robert - you are still cherished and loved to this day. I am one of those who still cherishes and loves you. Thank you.
I wish they could reboot this series. Angie and Brad with their Gen X kids and grandkids.
@@TKittymom So do I, T K - there could be some magic in this suggestion of yours.
I love Donna Pescow and I loved Angie. It was a terrific series.
sure was it was a shame it didn't last longer then it did 2 seasons only It was a funny show
@MD B really wow never knew that
She was. Also in. Out of. This. Word. With Jason. From. General. Hospital.
@MD B Precisely, my friend - this network didn't really give a damn about viewer loyalty in this case.
@@MegaJustGeorge ABC even sucked before Disney completely ruined it!
The smile she has in the intro/opening is incredible.
If ABC hadn't tinkered with their schedule, Angie would have lasted longer than it did. Thanks for sharing this!
She was gorgeous in “Saturday Night Fever”. Very pretty lady.
I loved this show! Had a crush on Donna Pescow! The theme song still brings a smile to my face.
I loved that show
really love Angie Came from Philadelphia,Pennsylvania
OMG. my FIRST Celebrity crush! Too awesome!
loved the show angie
I really liked that show.
So did I, Sissy - to this day, I still love this show, because to me, Angie, Brad and the rest of the characters - including Phipps - were my friends.
Really fitting that Donna and Robert shared a TV show together. I think more than any other people, these 2 were all over TV in the late 70's-early 80's. Guest spots, game shows, starring roles... they had to be 2 of the hardest working actors in that time period.
@Ed Reid Agree! _Different Worlds_ sung by Maureen McGovern. Even became a top 40 pop hit sometime in 1979. Great song.
#18 on Billboard's Hot100 (July 7 1979); #1 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary
Do we even have, Love songs on the Top 40 in mainstream music anymore? There's no subtlety, nuance, it's all overt sexuality. No courting or real romancing, conveying of deepest emotion in the lyrics. Thirty five, forty years ago the most memorable popular music was being made and tv shows. It's all about hitting you over the head with sexuality, shock and arrogance! I mean one day when Nicki Minag is an old woman she'll realize the piece of shit WAP isand feel bad she never made anything worthwhile musically.
If the show last longer, I wish they would have put the song Fleetwood Mac’s “Never Forget” as the theme song.
L O V E D that show!!! I used to work after school and I would get home from work JUST in time for Angie! Couldn't wait to turn on that tv set, settle in and watch it !
Oh yeah, she was in Saturday Night Fever, too! She was babealicious with those “psycho eyes" lol
I remember when Angie went on the air in 1979, I think it only lasted two seasons. After this show was canceled, that would’ve been something if ABC could’ve made a one time Christmas special regarding Angie. I don’t even think they do that on TV shows (Christmas special episodes) anymore either, or same with a TV show-movie of the week - now that I think about it they don’t even do a movie of the week anymore.
I loved angie
If this is from a year ago Pescow still looks fairly young, it's amazing that show was forty four years ago! She must have very good genes. Even if her hair grey'd a little still a very youthful looking woman.
Angie should have been a big hit and run for at least five years, had ABC not mishandled it.
Later in the '90s, they came up with "Dharma & Greg" which had basically the exact same premise. That ended up being more successful.
ABC has a habit of mishandling popular series. Those bullies cancelled Just the Ten of Us when it was winning it's time slot. 😢
Oh, cancelling Just the Ten of Us was dumb. They wanted to give the slot to Miller Boyett, who were producing the rest of the ABC Friday night lineup (Full House, Family Matters, etc). The replacement show was from Miller Boyett, called Going Places, and it was a bomb.
@@jaredjlinden you do know that Miller-Milkis-Boyett also produced "Angie."
Yep. And that team had a lot successful shows for ABC, particularly when Ed Milkis and Garry Marshall were involved (I thought the shows produced by just Tom Miller and Bob Boyett were creatively weaker). But that wasn’t a good enough reason to cancel JTTOU.
I loved this show when I could watch it.
I loved Angie especially the theme song. I looked it up on You tube and still felt the excitement of the show. No sooner did i look forward to making the show permanent to watch at home, they took it off the air. I was so disappointed ☹️.
Hometown!!!
Angie was one of my favorite TV shows... For obvious reasons! 😉
Me too, @Angie-GoneSoon Me too. Thanks for watching. Any other interviews you'd like to see?
I loved Angie but it was so short lived. TV was so different back then even some of the great shows didn't always survive
Always liked her and remember the show and disappointed when it was extended..glad she is doing so well
Imo,(Cause I'm 50 y/o Angie was The :Dharma & Greg of The early 80's (or Briget Loves Bernie if you're a 60's fan) FYI: Dharma and Greg was Chuck Lorre's other big series before the Generation defining "Two and a Half Men"
Angie is the only Miller-Boyett series that has aged well, and Donna Pescow is a major reason why. ❤
Way too short lived, Doris Roberts was wonderful
