    I recently found your channel and enjoy your videos. I just bought a 2019 Tundra TRD Off Road same color. I referenced this video today while installing my X-Start remote start kit. Your video was much more informative than the video mentioned in the installation instructions and made my install much easier. I have watched some of your other Tundra videos and I am looking forward to installing some of the same mods. Thank you for your video and keep up the great content!

    Not gonna lie bought the compatible model for a 2015 SR5 Tundra, the instructions sent were for a 2nd gen, and my wiring harnesses were significant different; 2 harnesses with everything wrapped together so it was difficult to manage all the wires/clips without being to separate them fully like this.
    Also the TPMS bypass if anyone is reading my comment and trying to figure it out like I was, under the passenger glove box, remove the bottom kick plate and look up for a yellow wiring sleeve for the air bag, the clip for your new bypass is directly in line with that.
    You’ll have to feed the wire the behind the center console there’s quite a bit of space, I was able to just literally push them through behind and grab hold from the passenger after. No need for a coat hanger and tape.
    All said and done she worked, took an extra 30 mins to figure it out.
    Thanks for the template for me to go off of!

    Okay for those of you having a 2018 Tundra who can’t use the key fob to unlock your doors while truck was remote started you may have used the wrong white connector location for the TPMS harness. Apparently there are a couple white connectors that will fit the Start-X TPMS connector. At the very base of the foot kick cover you will see 2 BLUE connectors one high one low. Focus on the lower BLUE connector and the WHITE connector on the LEFT is the CORRECT connector location for the TPMS connector. Once that is done you will be able to use your key fob to unlock your doors. Thanks Start-X for sending me the picture of the correct location. Hope this helps out everyone.

      @kccreations5945  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey man. I just watched a video on the 12-volt system and the process is the exact same as the one I did. They did say in the 12 V video that there were two spots where you had to splice wires, which you don’t have to do with the system. So that could be a big factor if you don’t want to splice any wires. But other than that it’s the same! I’ve used mine a lot since I’ve had it and had no issues!

    • @kamehamehawave66
      @kamehamehawave66 Před 3 lety

      I saw that too and I definitely don’t want to have to splice any wires if I don’t have to . They claim “plug and play” but it’s not 100% which is concerning . I think I might just have to get someone put it in for me or something . I’m not sure what splicing and not splicing changes in how the remote start works . But I’d prefer the start x after this video and I’ve heard of some issues with the 12 volt solutions one , but I couldn’t find anything on the start x website about remote starts for 2014 and up I think it was just like 16-18 or something
