And all of the people who said that he didn't dance with emotion or personality must not be dancers, because (speaking from experience) you don't dance this much without puting your whole heart into every dance. Especially when it has this great choreography and music.

LOVE this! it's not often you find a dancer with such amazing technique that actually knows how to DANCE through the movement. the choreography is brilliant in that it shows off your flexibility and tricks without taking away from the emotion of the piece. you are absolutely incredible.

This literally made me teary eyed, watching him dance in just an ordinary studio, and the fact that what he does is so extraordinary, and seeing how far he's come. I'm so proud of him
I think I've finally found the difference between Billy Bell, and Jakob Karr. Billy Bell dances with emotion, and Jakob dances with technique. And that's not to say that Billy doesn't have technique and Jakob doesn't have emotion. That's their strong points. When Jakob was on the show, Billy was my favorite, because I could see that passion, that emotion in his movements, and as someone that doesn't dance, I connect more to that. But the more I watch Jakob, the more I appreciate and love him.
He moves like water. I've never seen someone move with such smooth fluidity. Gogeous dancer. Ah! I could watch this video over and over again all day every day. Love this boy!

This comment is the most correct of them all. Very accurate. The only thing i would add is that the term contemporary is used to describe many different things that are modern. A painting can be contemporary, meaning it has a very modern look to it rather than fitting the status quo. Contemporary began being used to describe dance when dancers used their ballet technique to make dances that went beyond their training. It is the newest form of dance and it more similar to modern than lyrical.

I hope to learn that on my jazz routine.
