- The Tourism Master Plan for Davao City was turned over to Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte and the Davao City Tourism Operations Office (DCTOO) by Palafox Associates last 26 July 2022. The collaboration between the City Government of Davao, the Tourism Council of Davao City, Palafox Associates, and local stakeholders and barangays has resulted in a 25-year Tourism Master Plan for Davao City’s growing tourism industry.
After intensive situational analyses consisting of multi-sectoral appraisals of the City's tourism profile alongside in-depth workshops between department heads, local stakeholders, and barangay representatives, the plan includes a strategic tourism framework, new tourism circuits, priority development areas, and a new brand for Davao City’s tourism and marketing strategies.

The Davao Masterplan is great, I really admire our late president Rodrigo Roa Duterte for this City, Specially the hidden electric wires of the city, I also love the design of Davao Waterfront, Great Work for the Davao City Goverment.

Davao is extremely an underrated province that has so much to offer. With the four (4) Tourism Development Plans that they've planning to build in the future, I disagree with the second (2nd) one which is the China Town Market. Yes it helps and benefits the community to build and operate a business, but I think the name of the market should be changed. Instead of using "China Town Market", it can be replaced as "Davao City's Tourism Market" or "Davao's Market".

The development ahead looks promising and not only does it have specific development planned out on every attractions but it also highlights the attractions natural beauty. Add on to these Master Plan is the multiple Esplanades and Children Garden Parks built along the Davao Coastal Road and along the Davao River.
With the soon implementation of the Davao Modern Bus Transport System from Davao City main thorough fare from Toril to Lasang phasing out Jeepneys and encourage residents, students and labor force to utilize the Bus Modern Transit System will ease traffic and lessen carbon print with using 40% electric buses.
As long as this plan helps to strengthen not only the economy of Davao but also that of the Philippines, I support it. However, while this plan is in progress, we must all take responsibility for our actions so that no one will ultimately suffer or be negatively impacted, and that no one will have an adverse effect on the environment. If everyone takes responsibility, we can create a better community where positivity will spread more quickly and we can create a better nation.
