- We are welcoming this brand new Ferrari to the Shmeemobiles! I'm at Casa Ferrari at the Goodwood Festival of Speed to reveal a future addition to my collection, a car that it goes without saying is exactly up my street. Join me for a first look to take it all in and run through the details!
It couldn't be a Goodwood Festival of Speed without the introduction of a new car to join the Shmeemobiles, as has become a tradition over the last 8 years or so. While we visit Casa Ferrari, the Ferrari hospitality at the event, I'm incredibly excited to take a look at this new model for the first time in person, and of course take you for an in person tour around it.
With a collection that now features the SF90 Stradale, 296 GTS, Purosangue, and very soon a Roma Spider, we are also expecting the SF90 XX Stradale later in the year, and now something else is going to be joining in the near future too.

I am absolutely delighted to announce that I have placed a deposit for the Ferrari 12Cilindri, a car that naturally follows from my love of the 812superfast and F12berlinetta that proceeded it. Ferrari have recently pulled the wraps off the 12Cilindri Coupe and Spider simultaneously at the Miami F1 Grand Prix, before also presenting the car to clients at a special launch event in Maranello. This time around, it's available to be viewed by Ferrari customers at the hospitality location during Festival of Speed.
The 12Cilindri - literally meaning "twelve cylinders" in Italian - is a celebration of the V12 engine, powered by a 6.5l naturally aspirated unit making 830 horsepower and revving to 9,500rpm; familiar numbers from the 812 Competizione special series. Styling is inspired by the 365 GTB/4 of the 1960s, known as the Daytona, and in person looks absolutely stunning.
My garage has been very Ferrari heavy recently, for good reason, as the line-up of models from Maranello is on point at the moment. I've made no secret for many years that I'm a huge fan of the Ferrari V12 super-GTs, and somehow the 812 passed me by, but no more! From the Purosangue to the SF90 XX, the line-up now grows with the latest Ferrari V12.
It is a very exciting time, and it's a huge thank you to Sam and the team at HR Owen Ferrari, plus those at Ferrari UK and Italy that make these opportunities possible. This is going to be a very exciting journey ahead, thank you for joining me for it!

As you should be. I've only once bought a brand new car and it's a very satisfying and exciting thing to pick it up and then get to know the car.
Be careful with the electric mirrors when they open or close they're weak, with that said, great car, I had mine since 2021, 65k km still going strong

No matter whether they launched at the same time or not, no matter if the numbers will be close, the Spider will depreciate a lot less than the coupé. All things considered, there are almost as many 812 GTS as there are Superfast. Remember that the GTS was on the production line for much longer. So I think the fear you originally had with the 812 depreciation, is something you still need to consider with this. But if a coupé is what you want, go with that . Just be mindful that this will be the more depreciating car and it might also affect what you are allocated in terms of VS cars in the future. Not by much, but Spiders do mean more typically.
Shmee won’t rest until he’s on “the exclusive list” I love this car, it’s well executed and happy v12s super cars are still a thing going strong

The 12Cilindri customer deliveries still haven't started and Tim ordered the Spider variant which will take some time to build. So he will have time to drive the Roma Spider.
Edit: Correction, he is ordering the 12Cilindri coupé.

Shmees car collection is turning into a Ferrari collection + some other gems. But overwhelmingly Ferrari now.

Finally. Welcome to the club. The only way to really appreciate this is to have owned the 12 cyl cars starting with the TDF. That, was a disruptor and the GTS and Comp that followed took the game even further. No doubt this will move the goal post yet again but the journey deepens the appreciation of what ONLY Ferrari can do.

Bad move with the coupe as the convertible is a hard top and even if the production number is the same the convertibles always hold value better
Eh, it's his car, though. Just like Tim, I personally think the coupe looks better. It also objectively has more cargo space, meaning it's easier to use on road trips, which is what he's planning to do. There's always going to be tradeoffs with these kinds of decisions.

@@CaseyCollier he’s road tripped in car with a lot less trunk space so even the convertible would have plenty of of room. His car his decision I just don’t think it’s the best decision even more because it’s a road trip car not a track car like the sf90xx where a coupe makes more sense.
Tim, whilst I think the 296 is a beautiful shape, this car is the best looking IMHO the best looking Ferrari in decades. I think you will have ordered a yellow car, harking back to Daytona and Dino. A light colour will certainly accentuate the lines and the Daytona look.

I am noticing a pattern with you people, these type of comments are always made when the brand is Ferrari, meanwhile other brands like Porsche, Lamborghini, McLaren, Ford and many more also do the same to allocate a special car.

@@jordanbeltron5440 GTR isn't really that much special or it's limited in production. If you think about something along the lines of 2016-17 Ford GT, people did buy the 05 GT, plenty of Mustang's, Focus RS and F150's as per the advice of Ford dealers just for Ford to deny them an allocation.
Or the more famous three Taycan's to get a GT3 RS, a 720S to get a Senna and my favourite, it's from 1988, a LM002 to get a 25th anniversary Countach.

In order to buy his Daytona Shmee has to buy this weird looking thing (looks like a souped up Civic), and the Roma Spider, and the SF90 Stradale, probably the weakest resale Ferrari since the California.

Most of his Ferraris are amongst the marque's weakest sellers and exactly the models Ferrari pushes to 'new' collectors. The video here claims he never saw the 12Cilindri before and he already ordered one - i.e. he had to.
@@yehoshuafeldman6047Daytona SP3 allocations closed two years ago and the upcoming hypercar allocations closed earlier this year. Tim isn't on the allocation list for both cars. Also, he had seen the 12Cilindri but not in person as the car was unveiled before Goodwood FOS and Tim has only ordered after looking at it.

Gorgeous!! This may be my favorite Ferrari release in a LONG time. Resembles the Daytona of the past in a subtle, yet recognizable way. Also, love that they used a NA V12 on this one.

I don’t have to see this car in person to appreciate its presence. It’s a Ferrari with the pedigree of its namesake. It’s a beautiful automobile but if you squint just the right way you’ll see a modern day Pontiac.

Agree on the practicality of the coupe. We’ve just spent a fantastic 2-3 weeks in our F12 touring Europe and at every hotel the staff were shocked by how much luggage came out of the back.
I prefer the Spider lines, but Coupe wins if you want to tour it.
A colour of car which you haven't owned before? That doesn't leave many! Looking forward to seeing the reveal, hopefully this year.
It is nice to see Ferrari still does GT correct with V12
Not a fan of this one, looks are a bit off, although I can see what they are trying to go for. I would have thought if you wanted a V12 for your collection it would be a TDF or the 812 variant.
