Blooming hydrangea at the botanical garden park in Nara prefecture with tumulus Cluster

  • Umamikyuryo Park is one of the biggest parks in Nara prefecture (about 56.2 hectares).
    You can admire flowers, plants, and tumuli (the tumulus cluster was constructed around Umami-Kyuryo Hill) .
    In June and July during the rainy season in Japan, hydrangeas bloom in this park.
    The entrance fee is free as well as parking.
    This is also a famous spot for birdwatching.
    Access:
    - Car: 4km from Horyuji interchange
    - Train & bus & walk (Goido station of Kintetsu railway ➡ bus (destination of Umamikyuryo park) ➡walk ➡the park, 15 minutes)
