Mine has started to fault its going dark, then bright again, will this just be fuse, relay ro will it need replaced?? Any help is appreciated coz im clueless lol
Hello, and sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I doubt it is the fuse, as they either work or fail completely. I may be wrong but I don't think the display has a relay for the bulbs, so my guess is a poor earth connection as it is an intermittent fault. All the best hope you find the answer you need.
Afternoon all. I have a Renault Modus 1.4V 16 2005 model. The Speedometer light keeps on going of. Can someone please tel me where I can look to get this fixed for I don't know where the bulbs are situated in the vehicle
Hello, Thank you for your message. I am not sure if you are asking about an intermittent fault of a blown bulb. This video is about the replacement of the bulbs which illuminate the Speedo etc. The intermittent fault might be due to a problem on the circuit board of a poor earth connection. Good luck and I hope you can find the cause.
@@transitvandoors...Can you say that the six lights you indicated are also responsible for the illumination of the indicator symbols to the left and right of the central speedometer??? Greetings from Ukraine! 🇺🇦
Hello, thank you for your message. Unfortunately I no longer have the Modus so can't check it out. But I would guess that the side lights are solid colour and not back illuminated, so may need different bulbs. All the best and prayers for your country

Why did Renault use bulb's to light up the speedometer in the first place it's a very bad design They should of stayed with the original speedometer which never had any problems new technology is not always better than the old technology
I totally agree. The new touch screen displays are going to be beyond the repair of the home mechanic, and will cost an arm and a leg to replace when out of warranty

@@milosbgd Hello the Bulbs I used are R286 12V 1.2 W by Ring found them on a well know auction site box of 10 for a very good price.
