It's quite a shame, that Aki didn't have a chance to summon Black Rose, BUT more importantly, Tea going to semi final, while Yugi and Yami lost in their first duel... was absolutly unbelieveable. This is where my statement from the previous video - that using newest mechanics give you advantage from the beginning - utterly falls down. It was really big shock and I must say I'm very proud of Tea, seriously, that was one big WOW.
I'm waiting for the best buddies tournament after rivals. And after that, maybe try making villians tournament - with so many characters, you will be able to select the best and make really good battles :)

No surprise Tori isn’t on here. Although I will stand my ground in saying that she was done dirty by the fact that having spent so much time with the main protagonist (easily years), you would have to have some decent duelling ability. I know she wasn’t written to be a dueliist but I feel if you really want to support the main team, you need to have at least 1 good 1v1 duel. I also feel it was a wasted opportunity for her to not duel with Cathy nor Anna, especially during the early Barian arc, where there were less plot relevant duels. Also given the fact, they were all indirectly competing for Yuma’s affection.
I mean to be fair it took Yuma a while before he, himself was a competent duelist. I think it would take longer before he helped other people get better.
@@ajbXYZcool I agree but I don’t think that Tori is in any way as oblivious/stupid etc as Yuma was at the start. During early Zexal, Yuma made some really, not bad, but ill-advised plays.

"She's not a Yu-Gi-Oh girl lead"...who said it was just the leads? Especially since Mai wasn't a lead either. (And no Carly with her Fortune Lady deck?? Surprising, even if she only used it once.)
How about a villains tournament? Pretty sure you have enough to do a couple of those.
Call me crazy, but Mai will always be more of a (female) lead than Tea; With all due respect to Tea fans, I have never even thought of her as a Duelist; I mean let's face it; But, anyway he did say at the beginning that he considers Mai not to be lead either which is why he mentions having to add "2 extras" (which personally as Mai fan I found offensive 😂)
Tea has 100% winrate. She solos all of them.
I think it actually makes perfect sense that Akiza wasn't in Arc-v because at the end of 5D's we see what team 5d's was doing in the future and Akiza was a doctor in Germany and the twins were living in London, Jack and Crow both mentioned that they wanted to go back to New Domino City and that's why they were back in the city in Arc-v.
But arc v's synchro dimension happens during or just before season 1 - so she should be running around as the black rose witch somewhere in the background (especially since seyer is around)
the arc V returning characters are alternate universe versions of themselves
Arc v is a different universe, meaning the dimensional counterparts could have gone down different routes in their life. How would arc v even fit into the original DM-GX-5D's universe? Jaeger is to old to be born in the synchro dimension so he was part of arc v's original dimension prior to the split.
Even in a.i plot armor exist for Tea in the first round with Rio bricking and congrats to Serena for wining

I feel the AI messed up a lot of times in their respective duels. An example is in Rio vs Tea, Rio could have used her spell card to increase falcons atk making it ATK3000 and activated its effect doing that damage to Tea in return and when Tea AI mirror forced her Blizzard Falcon, the Rio AI should have call of the haunted and attacked fairy's gift so Tea couldn't summon magician girl, but its AI and you really don't have any control over the outcome. Nonetheless great vid.
P.S. I'm glad Yuzu and Serena made it to the final battle because I feel they should have fought in the anime when Serena was brainwashed and she tried to capture Yuzu. It would show Yuzu defending herself and trying to put up some resistance instead of get her arm stuck behind her back and being easily kidnapped.
Yuzu vs Serena was a dream matchup that I always wanted. They're duel here was really fun.
the main mistake is yuzu using the wrong bloom diva when the other one is way more busted

Was expecting Blue Angel to smoke everybody.
Unfortunately the AI doesn't seem to know the right cards to search and do combos from the main deck.
In that vs celina duel if she serached Lycoris (or field spell, then search Lycoris) she could have returned the Candina. Do huge burn with reincarnation, survive, then maybe do a lot of damage on the way to Bella Madonna, use her effect and attack. Likely would've done enough damage turn 3.
Rivals, huh? So Seto, Chazz, Bastion, Aster, and Jessie, Jack, Shark and Kite, Sylvio and Declan, and Revolver.
These tournament brackets only have 8 slots, which will almost certainly be:
1. Kaiba (DM)
2. Manjoume (GX)
3. Ryo (also GX)
4. Jack (5Ds)
5. Kaito (Zexal)
6. Shark (also Zexal)
7. Reiji (Arc-V)
8. Revolver (Vrains)
@dancostello4872 nah, for GX it would be Edo instead of Ryo
@@--julian_ you might be right, but it's generally agreed within the community that Judai's rival is Manjoume and/or Ryo, with Edo & Johan only being seasonal rivals (if at all), & Bastion having no place in the conversation due to how badly his character was treated.
Anna Kaboom could have been an option. Trains are a decent deck.
Mai's deck looks like it could have been a much more optimized Harpie deck.

Serena may have won this tournament, but I don't think that she's the best of the female duelists here.
It's more of a case of her having an archetype with some pretty busted effects. Same with Aoi.

How about an updated one with everyone having the most potential they can have. Like Mai with her synchro cards and field spell, Aki the extra other versions of black rose and orher added cards. I felt like it was obvious that no one from the first generations were going to beat anyone ahead of them in the series. Please and thank you if you can.

Another idea, best friends tournament. Joey, gong, crow, maybe cyrus, bronk soulburner and a couple others
I personally i would take out "Cyber Girls" Archetype and just make Cyber Angels. It just hurting Asuka/Alexis. Konami even just supports Cyber Angels. I also make Anzu/Tea into Magician Girl deck player. Most characters should also play more into their archetypes. A lot of them have nothing cards for the deck (specially when they could use something better.)
Tea is still the only character in the show with a 100% win rate!!!

Technically speaking, Tea's official record is 4-0. She defeated Joey twice in the first episode (though, granted, Joey was still learning the game at that point), then she was handed a win by Mai in Duelist Kingdom, and finally she scored a win over Crump in the Virtual World Arc. Her deck may be awful by modern standards, but back when her duels originally happened her deck was at least decent. Nothing to write home about, but decent, as she did supplement her Fairy monsters with Equip Spells like Sliver Bow & Arrow.
I'm sure her deck could be made much stronger if it was modified to fit into an actual archetype or even just use more modern cards that still fit the "theme" of her original deck (maybe with her "Ace" winding up as something like Chaos Angel).
But as a possible idea for another video like this, maybe an "Inverted Morality" tournament could work, where each character's decks are modified in a way that they might have worked if the Heroes were Villains and the Villains were Heroes. Could make for some funny shenanigans if, say, an "evil" Tea wound up being an absolute menace with her "evil" deck. :P And trying to make a deck for a Villain as if they were a Hero instead could possibly be fun too.
If the Darkside of Dimensions would of continued in Manga form. I could honestly see Tea pick up Starry Knight. Fairy monsters and the Boss monster is a Retrian of her Capsule monster from, well.... Capsule Monster.
I'm still wondering how you get these battles to work within Master Duel. Is it a mod? Or do I have no idea how to navigate this game

Have you considered doing this with modern decks? Most of these have gotten really good support, so the older characters wouldn't just be instant L's

Surprisingly Kotori's Archetype is centered around fairies and the Archetype she uses is The Agents

Final suggestion could be a Partner Tournament: Atem, Yubel, Astral, Yuto, Yugo, Yuri, and Ai. Maybe Supreme King or Zarc takes that final slot. Or Aqua with the Marincess deck

I’m trying not to be salty but if Yuzu summoned Bloom Diva instead of Bloom Prima it would’ve been over for Serena. She had the opportunity but I’m at least glad it was the Arc-V girls who made finals. They both deserved it since they could’ve so much better in the anime

Honestly, instead of giving the characters additional cards, why not just give them duplicates. Anzu should have had 2 graceful charities given she clicks on 2 of them in the digital world arc.
Besides that, we could have had more characters: Rebecca, Rei, Ruka, Anna, and Ghost Girl.
Other sites that allow for odd or even number of participants with double elimination also exist.
Serena winning was cool, though.

No surprise Serena/Celina won it all. After all, she is one of the best YGO Girls! Plus facing off against Yuzu/Zuzu in the final made for one great finale!
