I am 54 and the weeknd is so talented . What he also gives me is a 80’s vibe with the synthesiser backing . I love love love his music. A superstar song , add in arianna grande and it goes to another level 💕🎶🎹🎤
I completely agree Donna. We are about the same age and the Weeknd has grown on me. I wasn't a big fan of him years ago but his voice and style has really won me over. His voice has also gotten fuller and just sounds better

Ariana Grande has grown alot as a vocalist. I think she sounds her best right now, she's improved on a ton. I love her use of that lower tone. I hope her whistle notes continue to improve, I liked them but they're still so airy. I prefer a Mariah Carey type note where it's clear instead of feeling more like a falsetto. But everyone's voice is different. I haven't come across another Mariah, she definitely owns those notes.
I prefer Arianas whittles, it’s easier on the ears and just sounds smoother .
I disagree, they don’t sound airy especially ever since last year on rain on me , of course miss Carey is another being
i have heard ariana do clearer whistle notes that resemble more of a mariah note before. i’m sure you can find her doing them on youtube somewhere, but her style of singing is naturally airy. if you watch her recent POV live performance, it’s super airy, but that’s her style, that’s how she sings. i don’t think that because she chooses to whistle in more of an airy sound means that she hasn’t improved or that they’re any lesser, that’s just how she likes to sing. i think it suits her personally

Suffice it to say, Tears is officially my song of 2021. It both makes me happy and sad for the emotions I've felt that he talks about in the song. I really identify with it. Barely a day has gone by since January that I haven't listened to it.
