u2dva you're right. They're really bad about it in bowling. Big ole video board right above the lane that changes right in their approach. Seen lots of players back off because of it.
kepler240 The person controlling the camera angles should be sitting beside the commentator with both looking at a monitor ; that way they’re both in sync with one another
Always looking at how Shane spins the ball effortless. He plays with that extension at the butt and it makes his cue heavier. If I would to draw the ball a length of a table I should shoot twice as hard. This way, he has much more control in the cue ball. I wonder what tip does he have on his shaft.
Of 8 or 9 breaks from SVB, he was only able to hold the cue ball twice. I've noticed this year, he's been shooting from the quarter right of the table. Most of the time, he's got total control aside from kissing, but the majority on this match had a lot...a lot of topspin. I don't know if it was intentional, but I mean, he ran every break out. Just a different type of break from his usual breaking. Good ups!
Great job on the commentator. Seemingly this place doesn't have officials enforcing the rules. I think Shane was the only one to rack the 2 ball in the back once, on the 2nd rack.
You are, of course, correct. During the tournament, some players told me it was required. I have since confirmed that is not the case. Future videos will have the correct info. Sorry about that.
This is exactly why I don't play in BS tournaments. Rules are there for a reason and players should uphold those. If the director overrules that rule then to heck with the tournament and the director.
We are Kevin and Shari Ross, owners of Railbirds Productions. Thanks for comparing me to the Cornerman, high praise indeed! I much enjoy his commentary, too.
I believe that people who can't play pool worth a shit, constantly try to find reasons to shit on people who are good, to make themselves feel better. I believe this is on purpose, makes looking in the mirror easier.
Pro players consistently make that wing ball on the break. It's a matter of the proper position of the cue ball on the head string, speed (not too hard), and where the 1-ball is hit. Do a little research and you would see why. Oh, and I think SVB practices his break a few hours every day.
First rack, FYI, unlucky is getting kicked in off the break, shooting a shot and deflecting off another in to the pocket is an error. I hate this!!! Lucky roll, bad roll, all bs. Wherever your cue ball goes is not luck except for the break. Own it!
The producers of the video were given incorrect information. The only rule about the rack was no pattern racking. This is discussed in posts from about 3 months ago.
Well, it's a darned good thing that the location of the 2 ball was never part of the rules, innit? The uploader corrected himself and apologized no less than 3 TIMES, lol. Ya know... Ya COULDA just went to the Derby City site and looked at the rules before coming on here and spazzing out all over everybody... Just sayin'....

Jose Gutierrez - duuuuudddeee just watch this match czcams.com/video/KBGkXRYj2Qw/video.html ! He tries the same break but he fails to make the wing ball every time ! do you know why? because there is no gap between the balls. do you know what that means ? you still don’t get it!? I’ll tell you - he found a way to leave some gap between the the balls so the wing ball will always go in. Get it!? Do you?
Nice commentary and nice production, really enjoying this.
Great job on both video and commentary! Cheers from sweden
Camera angle switching should not be right at the moment of shot executing.

Has any one tried the laser stroke training aid? And did it help your game?
Very nice stream look forward to seeing more. Subscribed
Thanks Joe!
Anyone know what cue stick and shaft is Shane using?
boxing1000 which model?

One the few good observations about his break in this thread. I didn't watch the whole match, but it looked to me if he could see a ball, he made it.
Great job on the commentator. Seemingly this place doesn't have officials enforcing the rules. I think Shane was the only one to rack the 2 ball in the back once, on the 2nd rack.
From the very first break, the 2 is not at the back, lol! Right after reviewing the rules to the audience!
Despite what Kevin said at the beginning, the 2 at the back was not a requirement at the Derby. The only rack ordering rule was no pattern racking.

whats different if the 2 is at the back?
Break with 2 on tail then 2 when it is in contact with the 1. It's obvious.
What size tip does shane use on his cuetec R360 shaft? 11.5 ?
Someone said that new black shaft he is currently using is a special shaft from cuetec not released yet, December should be the release for it
...pretty sure it's 12.25
@@MaachoMaan thank you Mike
Ez for shane..
Quick question.....Kevin Ross,....your name an voice sound famalier,...my name, or, pool nickname is jonny q from ft myers fla.....
Q!!! Yes it's me and Shari. Shari still has her Harry Richards cue if you still want to buy it. :)
Who is doing the commentary? Excellent job. Sounds like Freddy, but not exactly. Keep up the good work!

thanks. Looking forward to listen to more matches from you guys.
I wonder how many of these comments are shane coming here and hating on himself lol cause a lot of people seem to think he's trash if it's not that
Does anyone know what the number means that's next to each player's % chance of winning the match? They're 821 and 755.
Fargo Rating
Interesting. They have 830 and 775 now as FargoRate
tourneys should never allow the breaker to rack his own balls - it has been shown many times that u can influence the break by racking ur own
Shane Van Boening put this Ivan Saris to shame. That’s because Shane is a far better pool player. 🎱👍👍🇺🇸
2 ball wasn't racked in the back I the first game.
20:28 😂 lol
Wtf that table every break shoot he puts a ball !! Nice cheat trick
32:30 Shane seemed a little out of sync with that attempt. Looked slightly rushed stroke-wise.
6:25
I would like to play Shane on a Bar Box
Play in the US Bar Table Championship and you might get a chance to. :)
@@RailbirdsTV would be awesome
Lol keep switching camera while he tryna draw the patterns . priceless . camera guy had to been fukn wit him hah
Ivar Saris! That is not the right way to break. Want to learn? Look me up.
I looked but you're not on fargo
Shane is like a robot. He is programmed to know all angles
40:18 looool
This is called rack cheats hahaha! i knwo the technique lol!
Anybody notice that Shane's rack are turned a little anticlockwise? I believe it's on purpose, maks wing ball easier.
I believe that people who can't play pool worth a shit, constantly try to find reasons to shit on people who are good, to make themselves feel better. I believe this is on purpose, makes looking in the mirror easier.
Stop staring in a mirror

WHY NO FOUL WHEN 2 BALL IS NOT RACKED PROPERLY

Larry Johnson ok. Thanks
37:29 JAJAJAJJAJA
Smoked him xD
Shane ‘I’ll turn up and play like world number one as long as it’s not mosconi cup’ Van Boening
How'd you do during the Mosconi Cup? Win many games?
Phoenix Franks , Phoenix Frank footer, your an tool..yep u are
Frank Rodriguez - It ain't "your", it's "you're"... and it ain't "an", it's "a".... "you're a tool"....
2 BALL NOT IN THE BACK 3 RACKS IN A ROW LOL

Not a very competitive game Shane smoked 'em!
Not asking much....but cannot they just try to dress decently. How low class of Saris
They're professional pool players, they can shoot in whatever they fell comfortable with
Commentary needs work.
Pretty weak commentary
It's a pool game, what do are you expecting the commentary to say?
Nice commentary. Please lose the crayon. It's very annoying.
Once again-not racking balls correctly. 2 ball must be on the tail spot. Cheating.
During the tournament, some players told me it was required. I have since confirmed that is not the case. Future videos will have the correct info. Sorry about that.
Show us your videos of you running racks
Cheating 😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah Shane always cheating
Fitam H how?
joshua martinez ask 80% of the pros... they will tell you many stories!!!
Fitham H how so?? I don’t know any pros so why don’t you tell us!?

Yeah haters always hating
Shane is a great player but there’s just something about him I don’t like.
How does one not like Shane...?
