Not India, Bengal residency was different from other part of the British Raj . Delhi residence, Madras residence, Bombay residence, sindh residence ,Punjab residence and Bengal residence together was formed and called as British Raj of India. After partition,half of Bengal and 80%of Punjab ,whole sindh residence joined with the beloved Pakistan . East Bengal and Assam was separated from Bengal residence in 1905 and durability of the state was up to 1911. They don't joined a country which name is called India.
