Allegro Moderato (Louis Köhler) - Alberti Bass Help

In relation to Louis Köhler's Allegro moderato, which appears as piece A:1 in the ABRSM Grade 3 Piano 2025 & 2026 syllabus, I was asked the question: "How do you over-hold bass notes in the Alberti bass to provide warm harmonic support under the lyrical melody? How do you actually do that please?"
