Because it wasn't clear in the video, I just wanted to add that Helen, after driving me to her home in Mount Gambier, drove me back the next day to where she'd picked me up. (Thank you Helen). My personal rule for this unicycle tour is to ride/walk every inch while I'm on land. I'm happy to say that 15,000miles in, I still sticking to it.
My name's Ed and for the last 2 years I've been riding my unicycle around the globe. Over 13,000miles already ridden, 'Ed Unicycles Australia' is the video series documenting my 3400mile self-supported unicycle tour across Oz.

No way! That kangaroo footage was awesome. Keep goin Ed !
When I first saw it I was shocked by how great the shot was. Then the tent setup shot seemed to confirm my suspicions that it was edited.
Blind positivity... just like a woman.
@@ShredCo Blind hate... just like a fool.
@@DarxusC Look again, its not edited.
@@Cushingura Why do you say that? I looked again. I think it's edited. There's nothing moving in the background, so easy to edit. 6:20.
Everyone in Australia gets an angle grinder for their 5th Birthday
Macboer Yes 100% accurate
I got one when i was born
Dang, I didn't get one until I was 6
I got a coverless swing saw at age 3
Hey, glad you could use my music in your video! Great channel!
Beautiful tunes!
Please never tape it into your wheel again. Gonna be sick.
Oscar Boyd lol me too
(Aside from that, your videos are fantastic)
fixed (or post edits) pov was cool effect tho, not sure footage of the road itself pov would be as neat and the 180 will lose you viewers :) . Still definitely pushing the possible camera angle boundaries. Neat work.
Be Safe
t-shirt Blame Ed (why I took up unicycling)
pretty sure it was the middle one
Bump this, agreed/10, but cool nonetheless aye
That dog is soooooo cute
*YES!*
Awww. Seeing it reminded me of what my dog used to look like as a puppy. My dogs is about 5 years old know and I forgot how she used to look but know I remember. She still does that thing like this dog where the jump back and forward while scratching the air with their paws
@@daffymore It really does look like a toy lmao From the tiny size down to it's motor movements. Absolutely adorable.
6:21 Like how the hell do you PLAN a shot like that? Serendipity man, good timing
"Ok roo go now"
"duhh ok *hop hop*"
It certainly wasn't planned. You COULD fake this shot with a bit of editing trickery, but i think it's real and I don't think he'll be spending time, waiting around for things to happen, with which he can create "artificial" shots. I think he wants everything to be authentic. Sometimes you are just very lucky with your shots. Often enough, he was unlucky, with the camera falling over. =)
Just came across your channel randomly and i watched 10 videos straight. I always thought people would be crazy to do world tour on bicycle, but what ur doing is on an another level. Especially the way u have documented it. Im speechless. Kudos to you 🔥
Ed your videos are absolutley inspirational. You are one of few poeple that make me not lost hope in this world. Keep up the good work!
6:22 so cool! amazing timing
Amazing timing with the Kangaroo!
Michael Clark agreed
I was thinking the same thing!!!!
serendipity defined
Yeah, great shot!
Almost as good as the camel shot!
Hey Ed! Tip for getting of leeches next time. Never pull out a leech, the teeth's are sinked in your skin and it hurts allot! You can encourage the leech to detach on its own by heating it a flame or sigarette or salt just as effectively.
A leech will do you no harm, better to sacrifice 10 drops of blood and let it be on it's way, if you pull at it or burn it, it might inject whatever it has in it's stomach into your body which would make things worse. They also apply anti-coagulant when they bite to make the blood flow, and coagulant when they release to stop the bleeding (they are parasites, so they want the host animals to survive).
They are designed by nature to be painless, so animals won't notice when they get bit so they can stay for a meal and leave.
Just to add to that, you can safely slide a knife edge under the bite area which will release the suction seal, if you try to yank of a leech it can leave its guts behind and very much attached
That leech pulling was funny as hell
The way the cranks don't move but the pedals spin is insane. Like some 4th dimension stuff right there 😂
GREAT! Your brand of "chill enthusiasm" is refreshing
I found your blog by accident and I am absolutely impressed with what you are doing. Trying to catch up on some of your past vlogs. Best parts of your trip, the people you befriend. The overwhelming generosity you've experienced is amazing.

YEEEEES another video clip ... thanks! :)

and all good luck to you Ed! :)
These videos really make me happy!!! :) Sometimes I'll be sad or discouraged, and it feels like there's nothing that can lift my spirits. But, when he was playing around with the GoPro, I laughed! And not because it was particularly funny, just because I was happy! I think you've got to foster a hope for those moments.
The great ocean road is beautiful dude! You'll love it.
Brilliant! That second me in-wheel shot was inspired, and insane!!
very enjoyable to watch, again.
hang in there
Hi Ed , I really enjoy watching your video and amazing unicycle advanture
That roo shot 👌
6:20 most amazing shot ever........ jheez. you couldn't ever re-inact that!! amazing ed. your the best
Totally awesome! Great fun ideas with the camera! Very hospitable of those people to let you stay with them and help you get your bearings! :-) I'm always glad to see a new video from you.
I am so glad you finally posted a vid!
Great vlog once again. enjoy new Zealand summer 🌞
great idea for special effects. I like the radial view better even though it doesn't show the surroundings. I think you should consider using that clip's perspective for a standard intro or outro for your videos because it emphasizes the unicycles unique effect around your feet.
Yay another Ed video... Auto thumbs up!
Thanks bro! Fun edit. Excited to see how usa treats you. YOU GOT THIS!
The puppy is so bloody adorable.
Love the shots in this episode!
Lived in Warrnambool, right up until the end of primary school.
Still the most underrated thing on CZcams Ed.
Still is in 2020
What a great episode. Love it as usual
Waah the one that's facing your hub is amazing I laughed pretty good when I saw that.
The inside the wheel angle could be a really cool music video element! So cool man! Keep up the awesome work, making me want to go long distance biking again!
Missed your videos, mate! It's being an amazing journey! 👏
Amazing background sound and music selection. Video as usual is awesome. All the power to you. Ride safe. C u in India.
It's always like Christmas for me when you upload a new video!
MM420 same
I was thinking about your absence man, good to see another vlog up
So hardcore! Great video, thanks so much for the effort! Greets from Sweden and Denmark!
WOW, now i understand Eienstiens theory of relativity with that camera on the rim and you going around and the wheel still, brilliant. Stay safe mate.
Freaky footage dude with the Yi mounted on the rim. Did not expect the outcome on the second wheel/camera position. You were So lucky to get the roo in shot. Amazing
glad he went along the coast, adelaide-sydney through the mallee is cool but after the nullarbor it's a nice change of scenery to be on the coast
6:23 The kangaroo is an actor. He paying it to be an extra on the seen.
Pretty sure it's Ed in a kangaroo suit.
You are so enjoyable to watch 👍
Oh good, you are alive! Was thinking it was a long time between posts and vids
Agreed. The tracker say's Ed's still in Sydney, too - www.worldunicycletour.com/wheres-ed/
Epic! That Roo shot was perfect! I guess you didn't know you'd captured that until you watched it like us? Great stuff Ed! I think you're going to have the best time in New Zealand! X
Your videos keep getting better and better!! That shot w the kangaroo hopping behind you as you cycled by- AMAZING!!
Nice spectacular view!

Awesome vid
Love your videos!
That straw at the end looks so comfy :)
Edits becoming better with every vid. Loved that kangaroo...keep it up ed. Amazing stuff
FAb shots to match your attitude ..... Man that was scary cutting the bearings off...when .... If you tour through the NZ...we gotta meet...free accomodation & food ... We belong to the Warm showers network...ciao Jimu
I hope you applied anti-seize compound to the new bearing. Less fuss that way.
its awesome how stoked that kid was showing you his not from the teacher!
The wheel footage was really neat! I bet you could do some really cool effects with it, if you wanted.
This is awesome, you were about 20 mins from my home town!
I luv these videos
Respect dude
It's makin my head spin.
6:23 That's a really cool shot.
Hey EDD at 11:30 part to get rid of leeches, don't pull them off, use salt or heat them up with a lighter.
I rode this route some years ago, along the Coorong. I left early early one morning and spotted a mob of emus on the road ahead, just down a hill.
I'll have a bit of fun, I thought, and glide down silently and give them a bit of a fright.....don't ever do that kids.
What an episode to watch after a spliff haha 8:50
amazing
6:21 what a cool shot!
Awesome bloke.
If you have any salt available you can put it on the leach or the heat from a match or lighter.
Great video. After you attached the GoPro to the rim, I was thinking it would be good to see it from the inside of the rim... next minute. BTW, the bearing puller was already "Threaded", when it broke the thread was "Stripped". One of my pet hates!!!
Have been following your videos but missed you going through mt gambier. Pity the blue lake wasn't quite blue for you
At first I'm like, what is this guy doing? Looks like a good time. Great on the filming too.
I also could've warned you about the hills 😂
Amazing videos I always get sad after watching them because I have to wait until the next one 😊 if you are ever in Ireland give me a shout 😃
when it's looking into the axle, it's so weird not seeing the pedals move xD
Hey Ed, if you fly into America via Seattle or Vancover, I live in Bellingham, Washington, and Kennewick, Washington, so if you happen to go through either of those cities and need a place to stay, just let me know!
I'm here for the GoPro carnival ride inside his wheel!
6:22 awesome shot!
Epic.
FYI I was looking at your route through the States, you may have to change parts. Bicycles are not allowed on Interstate Highways and I saw where you planned part on I-70. You may consider riding Route 66 from Los Angeles to Chicago, Illinois. Bicycles are allowed on it the whole way from what I have learned from other cyclists. Even the section where it joins Interstate 40. Best of luck, God Bless
How many world records are you made it ???
Thanks Ed. Pommie in Australia says "You might hear some whining". There you go. Funny you work in miles not kilometres though. Confusing.
addicted to your videos Ed. can't contribute any money unfortunately but if you ever come to south korea you are welcome to stay with me. i live at the very bottom of the peninsula.
