Greetings fellow Shipmate! I married " a Tejana del sur de Tejas" (Corpus Christi) while stationed at the Naval Hospital, Corpus Christi Naval Station from 1959 to 1962. I am a native "Nuevo Mejicano" de un pueblo chiquito cerca de "El Burque". I just loved the South Texas music of Freddy, Sunny, Agustin, Joe Bravo and of course el rey de tejano, Little Joe. This sound is very similar to our New Mexican music of Al Hurricane and familia.
