- The last day we were in Scotland we had the opportunity to see our dogs working in the Highlands with the grouse. Some actions there repaid the work done during the rest of the year. As my father taught me, training dog is a day-by-day effort full of patience and primarily full of passion.

Glad to see blaze orange. Would watch other UK bird hunting( what you call Rough Hunting), only seeing guys dressed in colors that blend in. DANDEROUS. Blaze O is extremely visible, even in small amounts, event at a distance. A full blaze hat is best to always wear(highest point on body and 360°).

The guns on pegs thing for me is not my CoT. But birds with English Setters. Been doing for close to 50 years now.

Touching the dog to initiate raising the grouse is not permitted in competition, the reason being that the attention of the hunter shall be on shooting the grouse and not touching or leading the dog. But good work!

Hi how are you ? I have a english setter 1 year and 6 month old . She is not pointing on the birds and when i shot any bird she goes there smell the bird and go away does not bring it to me . Any advice how to train her ?

@ 10 times mabye . Mostly for common quail and now for woodcock . When she was 7-8 month i palayed with her with some killed ducks and she brought them to me now not .
You should try to take her out for hunting or training twice a week. And then maybe it’s also genetic but for sure training is important

Buongiorno Enrico, è un animale che vive solo in Scozia. È della famiglia dei tetraonidi come pernice bianca e Gallo forcello, le dimensioni sono come quelle di una femmina di Gallo ed il colore è marrone scuro. Su quel selvatico sono nati i cani di razza inglese
