Working with these guys is such a privilege.
This show has changed me. I've watched it change other's too. Thank you and all who work so hard to make this show possible 🙏🏼🫶🙏🏼🫶🕊️
Hello Mr. Jenkins!
I don't know if anybody's ever stated this before but Quintus reminds me a lot both in voice and how he acts as the character Q on Star Trek. He acts like he's entitled, spoiled and the smartest person in the room.
❤
Why are all the Romans nearly English?
His portrayal an voice are incredible and iconic. I could listen to him for hours.
As an anime fan, I *have* listened to his voice for hours. He's done the dub voices for a lot of anime shows. :P
I watched the testaments too. Now I understand How we got the story About em. But the chosen is way way far better…Simon and Jesus Character is wow. Always crying when I watching. I finished the whole Show for like 3 days ahaaha
@@ashleypenn7845 seriously? That's awesome
@@ashleypenn7845 Really what shows?
Indeed, i totally agree.
I hope Matthew and Quintus share the screen again! Would love to see their relationship explored some more
Quintus is so quirky and crazy I love it!
Would love to hear Brandon Potter doing some audiobooks.
I agree his voice is amazing !
Yes, he’s a voice actor as well. I love his voice and his cynical laughter.
Yes!
His voice is spot on for this character. Great writers, solid acting!
Brandon has done great work in creating Quintus. It would've been so easy to just portray him as constantly heavy-handed, but Brandon has made him petulant, quirky, and witty (and funny in the character's own way) while at the same time making the character come across as impulsive with the potential of turning dangerously unstable in an instant when angered or politically threatened.
One of my favorite characters so far. I don't see a conversion in the character's future....
“Quirky” is spot on👍🏻😆
“I don’t see a conversion in the character’s future..”
Are you kidding me??!! I totally see Quintus as being the Roman centurion who participated in executing Jesus on the cross but then realizes to his horror that he has killed the Son of God according to Matthew 27:54. Besides, how many disciples have similarly said, “I don’t see a conversion in his future” in regards to a persecutor like Saul of Tarsus? And look how they were proven so wrong!
@@mechadoggy Just as Paul was wrong about John Mark. I stick by my opinion. Quintus (rank/stature) is a bit more than that of a mere centurion. They can't all be "good guys" and they weren't. God bless.
@@NVRAMboi “Just as Paul was wrong avout John Mark” What do you mean? John Mark ended up writing one of the gospels and was the first one to do so according to modern scholars! Sure, he was homesick and not “adventurous enough,” but maybe him being in a calm environment with all the comforts of home was just what he needed to write his gospel, just like how Yahweh deliberately allowed Paul to be imprisoned sometimes so that Paul would have a nice, distraction-free environment to write his letters.
“Quintus (rank/stature) is a bit more than that if a mere centurion.” And what official Roman military rank are you thinking of in particular?
“They can’t all be ‘good guys’ and they weren’t” I never said that they are. It’s just that whoever will be the centurion at Matthew 27:54 must be someone who’s willing to kill Jesus and participate in His execution (before realizing with horror at what he’s done by killing the Son of God). Given how Gaius is coming around, there’s no way that Gaius would willingly participate in the crucifixion of Jesus. Instead, I think Gaius would be the centurion whom Jews speak highly of and have his faith commended by Jesus according to Luke chapter 7.
He also lacks foresight and doesn't think things through fully which is why Addicus looks down on him so much. He needed Matthews help to impress his rival, he didn't understand what Jesus was actually up too whilst Addicus understands instantly how influential and dangerous Jesus will be in the long run to the Roman Empire.
Brandon potter has made me care about this despicable character, Quintus. I’m emotionally invested in him. I want him to have a Damascus Road experience with Jesus and become a believer. That’s a hint to the writers and to Dallas Jenkins.
That would be awesome!!
I think that Gaius will probably be the Roman who asks Jesus for help with one of his servants, and Quintus will be the Roman who acknowledges Jesus as the Son of God when He dies on the cross. Of course I could be wrong about that, but I would love for it to be true.
@@zoenightshade3053 I am kind of stressing over an inkling that Gaius might be the one who is ordered to crucify Jesus. 🥺
@@maryvalentine9090 Oh, I didn't think of that. I hope not...😳
@@maryvalentine9090 Given that Pontus Pilate is the one who did that and is also present in the show, I doubt Quintus will occupy that spot
I really feel the show is Holy-Spirit led, the cast was hand picked by the Lord. 👏 Thanks for all the hard work and efforts guys 💖😊🙏 God bless you all!
I tottaly agree , the cast was led to auditions by the Holy Ghost and I really believe Dallas felt or saw that himself .
Going deeper into the characters is so good! God's all-powerful grace, love and glory is all over The Chosen! It's no wonder this show is loved around the world. Love The Chosen!!! ❤️ 🌼
Brandon Potter was unknown to me before The Chosen. but I have come to respect him as an artist and as an observer/commentator on life. He seems to me to have acutely insightful observations about himself, the other characters, and the story as it is unfolding.
I love quintus. He’s such an intelligent, ambitious, sharp, playfully-sinister character. He’s a fun villain.
I love the Chosen. Such a life changing show. Thank you to all who made this show possible!
This is a show that should have been in the works a long time ago. No argument will stand against it because it's giving you a foundation of the back story for what life was like back then and characters are introduced who make the miracles more genuine and believable. It is a rare masterpiece put together with much time and effort and accuracy. It's not about a raving madman who thought He was God, Jesus was God in the flesh and He knew it. It was up to the Jews to play catch up. So many were concerned with keeping the law even though the Perfect Sacrifice was still to come.
Love hearing all these actors talk about their proecess! It's **chef's kiss**
I love how the go deep in the analysis because you can see more clearly how they get to portray their characters so perfectly. To some point, they embrace the psychology of these characters and make them their own. They’re are simply amazing. I think I’ve never seen a cast so perfectly selected, and that goes to everyone n the series. It’s amazing.
We are glad to hear that. 🙂
I so love The Chosen,I have watched many many christian movies and TV shows. I am a 70 yr old grandmother and the Chosen has showed me such a deeper side of Jesus,His sense of humor His being tired, all of His humanity.....and His divinity. I worked many yes ago for a very rich VERY rich denomination. The dinner supper I prepared was served on very expensive dinner ware and wine was poured out of a 1000.$ carafe. I just watched and in my spirit and it was strong Jesus said ...do you want to go out on the boat dock and share an egg salad sandwich? So I did.
Simple is often better.
I really couldn't relate with the rich... especially when they are -denominations-. Jesus is the best☝
I am 65 and have had so.many similiar experiences during my time, with both really wealthy people and also the poorest of poor. I have found those who have little are closer to God and Christ then many really wealthy are. just proving the teachings of Christ .
That is a really beautiful story.
His kindness❤️
Brandon Potter expresses himself so well
This is so awesome to listen to and to talk with characters like off the set of the chosen 🙌
this is the greatest thing television has to offer right now. no cap.
It's funny/sad watching Brandon's Quintus character have to devolve into chaos this season.
Matthew leaves - most likely taxes took a hit
Atticus is playing buddy buddy with Pilate
Gaius is hopelessly distracted
Jesus is at the root of all of it again
Brandon you're right there on the line of like trying to remain calm despite things getting crazy. The whole "drawn and quartered" comment to Gaius was calmly delivered but then snuffing out the candles was like
"OK I'M GETTING TICKED"
Poor Quintus devolving as he turns into a walking powder keg
🤣
Bravo Brandon
I believe Atticus knew.Pilate as he was growing up , so there is a bond type relationship as they seem friendly and also respective of each other's position
@@tonyc7689 I'm glad they made Pilate a more charismatic and polite mannered person. You don't get put on the Roman senate acting like a bloodthirsty plebian.
That’s interesting that Quintus really is fascinated with Matthew’s analytical mind.
Quintus is one of the most interesting characters in the series, and Brandon's acting is stellar
I love seeing the actors' genuine admiration and intrigue toward each other. Mutual love and respect makes for such cohesion for the making of the show and we fans only benefit all the more. ❤️❤️❤️
I love seeing how “angry and annoyed” Brandon Potter gets just talking about this! 😂❤ Such a marvelous cast!
- "I won't make you do anything. But My Father, on the other hand..."
- "I don't know what that means, but let's end on a high note."
I looooooove Brandon Potter playing Quintus. Those micro-expressions and voice.. 👌👌👌
I love the Chosen! So grateful! Remember everyone to pray for Dallas and his family for their spiritual warfare! 🤍
In one sense, a lot of the spiritual warfare is coming from the legalistic yt commenters
@@PuffKitty I agree. May the Holy Spirit bring counsel, wisdom, and unity in the Body of Christ. Starting in our own hearts!
Prayers for all on the set as well
Am I the only one that, when he hears Brandon talk, thinks, "That's John de Lancie" (Q from Star Trek The Next Generation)?
I love Matthew in the chosen his character is so sweet❤
and Quintus’s character is played so well they both do an amazing job!
Quintus and Aticus are two of my favorite charactors. I really like Phillip, too.
I love the back stories of these actors. I find it interesting how they refer to their characters in the 3rd person. It shows how inspired the Holy Spirit the show is. These actors totally transform into their biblical persons. For example, they person playing Matthew is sooo different in person. It also shows how serious these actors take their roles.
Amen
I love his voice. I would listenmany more books with him voicing the dialogue.
Quintus is so cute and I love his laugh. The person playing Quintus seems to have such a good outlook on life. He does very well playing him. But, all the actors in the Chosen are phenomenal. I am old enough to be all of your mother
Quintus has total Q from Star Trek vibes, I'll never stop seeing this.
Even his voice & inflection... I wonder if this casting was intentional, lol.
Omg I was thinking the exact same thing. I literally just commented on that vey fact.
I love Brandon's voice! It's so low, that when he speaks, your listening! 😆🥰💖
What an enjoyable round-table. Thank you, The Chosen.
He went to the Lohn DeLance school of acting. He act almost exactly like Q from Star Trek the next generation and I love it!!
I seriously love the actor who plays Quintus, something about his voice really draws you in. And the dynamic between Matthew and Quintus, it’s blessed. This whole series is a blessing and good, I feel the Holy Spirit move me whilst watching it ❤❤❤
Love Brandon Potter and his portrayal of Quintus. Even his interview here, he is just so funny. He's wonderful!
Quintus plays his role very well. He's a perfect fit.. Kudos to the directors and cast..
Love the after shows hearing the actors interpretations of their characters ! Excellent portrayals, perfect for each one! 💕
We absolutely loooved meeting him and having a picture and shared that great experience on Catch the Buzz. He is just a wonderful spirit filled soul. I also shared stories and pics with Chris and Jailene. They are so beautiful and kind
His voice- love his voice!
Love how this role is played. I love his voice!
he plays him so well and so funny
I love seeing Matthew and Quintus together!
If the Star Trek series ever revisits the character of “Q” Brandon is a perfect fit. His voice is perfect and he even looks like looks John Delaney
He should be Q jr from Voyager and harass Picard with his dad
I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the similarity.
So true
I love all the actors in chose. I love Quintus and Matthew the dynamic is amazing. I like that they made Matthew a little OCD.
Loved this conversation
Quintus might be my favorite character in this story. Brandon plays him so good.
The chosen series is making a positive impact on me as a chosen person 🙏
Great actor. He shows a lot of character
GREAT interview! Thanks so much for showing the real side of these actors.
I love to see Giaus and Matthew together, love their relationship
Great conversation! ❤ The Chosen!
Atticus actually spoke highly of Quintus... lol
The most memorable villains are the ones who seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. In this respect, Quintus reminds me of Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor.
All of the actors do a fantastic job playing there roles.
We are finishing season 3 this evening. We loved this series seeing the gospel in whole new perspective.
Matthew is my favorite character, and Quintus is #2! superb personifications! laughing to see Matthew cringe being offered an olive by Quintus and Atticus "snitching" one without asking in another scene! LOL
Love this guy. Always awesome when an insanely talented actor is chosen by insanely talented people.
He would make an excellent Q in a Star Trek reboot.
What is absolutely brilliant about this is how they portray each role and add their own personality to it and it is surprising to Matthew etc. That's just amazing
Really enjoy the aftershow.🙏❤
His potrayal of Quintus reminds me of the character, Q portrayed by John Delancie on Star Trek: The Next Generation!
Love watching the gospels come alive. I love this series!! Can’t wait for more.
Thanks for your great work y'all.... me and my girl have been mesmerised since the first show.
What you're doing matters. keep it up.
Two of my favorites also! Quintas’ presence is so compelling.
I have read the Bible so many times in my life, I feel like after watching all of the seasons, I love how you all have brought the Bible to life. I have seen many versions of movies about Jesus, but by far Jesus in the Chosen, is the best Jesus. I love that he has a sense of humor, that when he hugs someone it is so loving and Jesus is so caring and very kind and he just is very gentle as well. In other movies I feel he is a bit stand offish and comes across kind of cold and unrelatable. I also have a soft spot for Quintus, Matthew and Gaius. Thank you so much for bringing the New Testament to life, each and every character is amazing, the film, the set, the designs, the costumes are so realistic. Thank you for all of your hard work.
I agree. Chosen is the best so far, in story line, in characters, especially Jesus, Matthew, Quintus, etc...
My favourite character I am just so fascinated to see how he will react to situations!
Poor Quintus. He's in a no-win situation. He can make Jesus a martyr, or sit back while the crowd of disciples grows. Either way Rome will hear about it.
QUINTUS' VOICE IS SO MAJESTIC. 🌟
Enjoyed this so much. 👍👍
good interview, great insight into the thoughts of Quintus. There are so many great acting moments it is hard to say who I like best. It comes down to whoever is on at the time.
Love the After Show!!! 🤩
I love the chosen só much !!! God bless guys 🙏👏👏🥰🇺🇸🇧🇷
Thanks, that was awesome! Brandon is a FABULOUS Quintus, we LOVE to hate him and HATE to love him... but we do! x
@Dallas, I want to ask what accent were the actors speaking during the movie?. I actually love it
I’ve loved the Quintus character from the beginning! His interactions with Matthew were great. My only question is about the actors chosen for Pilate and his wife. They seem too young. But stay tuned, there’s a reason for everything.
It is SO WEIRD to think that Pontius Pilate, the source of so much of Quintus' mental agony and existential dread, looks to be about a decade younger than him!
I love his voice! So beautiful and rich…he plays this character so well too. I must say how grateful I am for this series as it’s really brought me far on my journey of accepting Christ Jesus, which is very new. It’s been about 4-6 weeks now that I’ve finally accepted the truth and that Jesus died for my sins and redemption and it’s been such a powerful experience! I just got baptized last Sunday and I will say that I’m a new creature in him. I dealt with demonic presence throughout my life and just before I accepted Jesus, I was dealing with “sleep paralysis “ and terribly terrifying dream at least twice a week in which an invisible demon or Satan himself was torturing me. Well guess what….that has totally stopped since I gave my life to Jesus Christ! Thank you God my father and your son Jesus for saving my life and soul!
I’ve always asked-why is no one even talking or interviewing Atticus? I think his character is fascinating. But he is never mentioned (unless I missed it somewhere). So thank goodness he is brought up here by Quintas himself!
There are interviews of him online on CZcams, just put his name in. People ask about him eating and stuff 🤣
@@GlennRiccobonooooh thanks! I missed them.
The first time I heard Brandon's voice I thought he would make a perfect Q in Star Trek!! He and John de Lancie sound so much alike!

Quintus is a really great character.
Just saw this video after Season 4 episode 3. Some of the conversation in the video and in the comments really take on a new meaning.
I liked that Quintus respects Matthew even if it’s only a little respect.
Brandon, I don't know if anyone has told you that you could play Q on Star Trek but I hope you know how amazingly you'd play that role!
that's a great idea Brendon would have made a great Q
Brandon has such an incredible voice, reminiscent of John De Lancie ( to me anyway) and perfect for this role.
Love from India
Bhai kaisa hai?
I have loved Brandon since my IT training videos!!! I was so excited to see him play Quintus!
Quintus is delightful. HIs pompous character gives me a good chuckle.
The Chosen has changed so many people around the 🌎
God y'all!
🥖🐟🥖🐟
Brandon playing Quintus, his voice and mannersisms is channeling John DeLancie's performance as Q in ST: TNG.
Love it! Love it! Love it! I love The Chosen! ❤️🙌🏻
Brandon Potter sounds so much like John de Lancie (Q of Star Trek).
This guy's voice sounds just like the Q on Star Trek:-)
All the cast is incredible, but I think I pause the most on the character of Quintus. You could have just another bad guy with his ego to worry about, or you could get this twisted, dark, multi-layered man who gets his pleasures from pain and makes your hair stand. What a portrayal! Just the fact that you sense his personhood rather than him being a charicature really gives me the creeps.
