Having said that, Pontus did repay the Temple, for putting him on the spot, in kind. Legio XV Apollinaris and Legio X Fretensis, there pulled from Syria into Judea, beginning a chain of events what would end in extermination of Judea, and expulsion of the Jews. So he got pay bk on the Temple, in the end.
