Marks out of 10; I'd give the shop 9, woodworking skills shown 9.5 and the humour 11 out of 10. Brilliant video, great information and a new sub. Well done.
Hahaha you're a legend! I totally agree veneering and solid edging is just so much prettier-aaahh walnut 😻 I've actually done a lot of these and think and the tear out you're experiencing with the plunge might be due to the limitations of a small router Vs spindle (blame the tools 😉). Hope you enjoyed your tea 🙂
Angus Miller thank you 🙏 I think you could be right probably asking that little router bit to do a bit too much on that one 😂hopefully will do some more veneering in future vids 👍
When making these finger pull handles, is it common to join MDF with the hardwood to make the full panel? Any reason not to make the entire panel out of the hardwood? I'm not a wood worker at all - but I am building a short school bus into an RV so I've been practicing and learning a lot!
@@ukhomewoodworker848 could I ask which router bit it is? Looks 1/2 shank ...it's it CMT? I need to cut fingerpull in 18mm panel. Thanks great video enjoyed it immensely 😀
Just looked at the airpress site at the cheapest set, the words "fuck" and "holy" came out, but not in that particular order. Perhaps I'll just try with a hoover and some of those storage vacuum bags for compressing clothes. Hoping to see you do a veneering video soon.
🤣 yep you’re not wrong Andy very pricey, you definitely want to be sure you want to do a lot of veneering before buying their kit. I think there are a variety of different entry level kits about tho 👍 thanks for watching
Hi James yes in theory as long as you have a template for the router to follow it should work, you could clear the bulk of the waste with a straight bit first set to the same depth 👍
Strawbyte Workshop yep it’s www.thewoodveneerhub.co.uk/collections/decorative-wood-veneer there just down in Leighton buzzard I found them to be great 👍
the band saw and jigsaw ones were terrible. should have just used a FESTOOL router :) also these glue on edging with iron....also terrible. should have used the FESTOOL edge bander :D
At present, our factory directly produces one-machine molding handle-free cabinet door edge banding, which is super convenient
You had me watching until the domino. Thought this was home woodworker ha ha

No problem, let know how you get on I think they always look really neat on wardrobes 👍
Love your humor! Great handles :) Thanks!
Really excellent work. I’ve learned quite a lot on routing techniques there. Cheers.
Awesome thanks Paul 👍 I learned a bit doing this one as well I need to put more time aside to just experiment with different techniques 😃

Hi Ross, this video popped up, and I wanted to say hello 👍
Hey Paul hope you are doing well 👍
Thank for the excellent video. How would you do the one all across the top of the door if the door was curved?
Excellent!!

Do you think the simple pull router would work on shop bought MDF / painted (not vinyl wrapped) cupboard doors?
amazing video! thank you, i learn a lot!
what router brand and type for making that j pull handle?
thanks!
Thank you 🙏 great to hear you liked it 👍 the router is a Rutlands palm router and I was using a 1/4” finger pull router bit 😊

Hi! Can I ask for the list of tools/equipment that you used in the video? Thank you!
can you share pls the tools/equipment used? :)
Could you make a finger pull with a cove bit?
Hi James yes in theory as long as you have a template for the router to follow it should work, you could clear the bulk of the waste with a straight bit first set to the same depth 👍
Do you have a link to the veneer firm you used?

@5:26 that's a cove bit 🙂
12:25 what type of router name?
It’s a finger pull router bit 👍
Thousands of lifetime projects with woodglut plans.
Saw dust is man glitter.. no one talk about this
Nice work! However, I quit watching because of the really annoying background music. Sorry for that.

Festo products are just to expensive to consider.
This time I will use Stodoys plans for this.
