This is the best looking handmade/forged claw hammer that I've found in my search through CZcams.
I don't think there is anything that you can't make if you want to. You are s joy to watch, we learn a lot from your videos. I tell all my friends about your videos
It would be cool to see this one on your website for purchase! Great work!
Congratuation tour Jobim áre amazing
That's a lovely job Paul , the claw must be open like you did, most of commercial hammers got the claw such as an angle that's impossible to catch a nail head.
Thank you!!
Congratulations!
Um martelo muito bonito e com certeza funcional, parabéns.
Great video
Awesome job brother. Your videos are awesome. Keep up the great work
Thank You!
Great job keep it up.
chbeagles thanks!!

Thanks man!
You did a good job
thanks!
Man I love making claw hammers. Use press on truck axles. Draw out claw with power hammer. Thought I had a cool setup. Your drift station blows my effing mind. Have 350 lb HB anvil I’ve been drifting on. I will copy your drift station efknmediatly!
This was my first one and I can’t wait to make some more! And I’m glad you like my drift station! I made a whole video about it you should check it out
It turned out great Paul👍👏 can you explain the hardening process you used? Does the whole head get hardened?
Thanks Kyle! I turned the forge down a little bit so it’s not at full blast and I put the hammer in until it’s a little hotter than cherry red then I test it with a magnet once it looses magnetism I throw it back in for a few seconds and then quench it. I kept the head submerged the whole time and I dunked the whole thing a few times because I didn’t want the claws to get too brittle since they’re pretty thin compared to the rest of the hammer. Then I took it out and tempered it at 450 for an hour and a half and it’s good to go.
Good Job... i want to know more about your press did you build it ? keep up the good work and the good vids. and be safe.
Thanks! I actually have a 3 part series on building the press definitely go check it out
Very nice👍
Thanks man!
Really nice mate! I wish you could do one for me ;)
Amigo buen video sigo tu canal. Una pregunta: que tipo de aceite ocupas para dar temple y a que temperatura dejas el horno. Seria de gran ayuda la informacion. Saludos desde chile 🇨🇱

Out of curiosity; what temperature and how long do you temper the hammer head at?

Friend,
I hate to be pedantic-but isn't the correct term "Claude Hammer" rather than "Clawed Hammer"?
"Clawed Hammer" would be a trifle literal…
