You don't need to farm. If you've played the game right, all your characters should be at pretty decent stats by the point you get here. For the actual boss: cure berserk IF YOU NEED TO. If you're just going to be attacking for the meantime anyway, such as if kimahri, auron or tidus are berserk, then their strength is bolstered and you can leave them attacking. Spread out your characters in a way that means only one (or none) is getting hit at a time. Keep up haste and protect, keep them healthy and you should be gucci. This boss counterattacks by using that aoe attack in front of him whenever he takes physical damage. Which means, whichever way he's facing, move your characters away and pommel him with your attacks. Make sure you use everybody, so you get AP Also, for extra AP and better drops, overkill him by using bahamut's overdrive (you cant have anima yet, unfortunately). Good luck!

The first time I didn't pay much attention but the second I got really good at it, to the point that I ended up turning Tidus into a "tank" player, like Auron is at the beginning, and made Auron faster than Tidus himself. It's really amusing and rewarding what you can do with the grid on expert mode. And if you farm, well.... I don't know because none of my players ever got to 9999 HP, not even 8000HP I'd say.
tell me where y'all got your lvl. 3 spheres and such would be great..... cause my characters can't learn the best moves yet. also has anyone had to backtrack a lot to get where they are? I'd like to avoid that if possible, until the first sin battle at least where you can quick travel anywhere after. I'm on my third replay with this game, as I wanted to level up more this time.
Yuna Protect on Auron, Auron Mental Break, Tidus Hastega. switch Yuna for Lulu. Tidus Haste on Lulu, then swap Tidus for Yuna. Spam Lulu Ultima Fury and Yuna Holy + other healing spells.
I'm about to fight this guy and yunalesca. I've been leveling up my characters in the dome for a long time now. Auron and rikku are max health without break hp limit. Most of my characters have a strength of 100 or more except yuna and lulu. Yuna is getting there though. I had her go through Rikku's part of the sphere grid after I learned holy. Then I had yuna go through kimarhi's part of the grid and now she's about a quarter of the way into tidus's part of the grid. I'm starting to bring lulu out of her part of the grid and into wakka's lol. I've been getting quite a bit of level 3 key spheres from beating those defender z's in the dome. I've just been unlocking the level 2&3 nodes whenever I can. I'm probably leveled enough to beat this guy I just like watching lulu and yuna hit 9999 on a physical attack. I have to keep backtracking to gagazette and the calm lands for power and speed spheres every so often.
@@jstdun yeah imo being underleveled (or on the level that the game wants us to) makes up quite a challenge, it makes the battles fun and satisfying when you defeat the bosses
Here's a surefire way to beat him with one attack Acquire the Yojimbo summoning. Then use his overdrive I am not kidding One overdrive, and this boss is dead Again I. AM. NOT. KIDDING.
The trick I used that made him a total joke was Provoke with someone who had a higher hp stat, get the other 2 away from its sweeping range and then wail on it till it was dead. Usually was with Auron.
Naw this boss is not that hard to deal with. They're real pain in the ass... Especially Dark Yojimbo. Zamato is not always work on Dark Yojimbo so you're going to need to upgrade your stat to beat dark yojimbo
@Zweihander Gaming I agree, if you want to beat this boss without zanmato get hastega and provoke on some1 who has high hp, provoke is to distract the boss from your other two characters, and make sure this character has berserk ward, keep healing him and easy win

Use that mental break. Provoke the enemy, have tides do that, stand in the frontline and take everything

I found this boss too easy but that was cause I spent dozens of hours grinding so by this point i had 9999 hp and most abilities so it was easy.
Well no duh. Play the game again, try grinding as infrequent as possible
