Did the online form and paid the US$50 for the multiple entry 3-month visa. Please ensure the passport photo you uploaded has the correct dimensions, or it will not let you proceed. Took me a few times to get it right. 3 days later, I had an electronic visa. I am Australian and had no issues getting it. Also, make sure you put your arrival date and then add 90 days from that date of entry in the field, i.e. if you enter Vietnam on 16/11/2023, the 90-day date would be 14/02/2024. It does not calculate it for you. You must enter the dates.

@@sustwins2085 Hi, when it rejected me, it showed the dimensions that were needed or the pixels. Just write them down, go to a free online photo resizer make those dimensions save and use it. Took me 3 or 4 goes to get it right.

Chinese visas aren't welcoming anymore but Vietnam visas are. That's something else from the people. Chinese are far more welcoming and friendly to new foreigners. I mean the people. not the government. Vietnamese. uhh.. oh dear. I mean, they don't actually have a concept of 'welcoming' someone in their culture but it's not only that cultural aberration.

Hi Alex, Just entered Vietnam on the new 90 days e-visa. There were no problems at the airport at all. It is a good idea to print a color copy of the e-visa to show the immigration officer. Take care.

Make sure you getca teaching contract BEFORE you come. They do require certification.

thanks for the vid, i just submitted my application, fairly easy, only tricky part was resizing my passport pic, making sure i placed my middle name in the given name section and also making sure to double check the validity date... either i made a mistake which i doubt but somehow changed towards the end of the process before confirming, thankfully you can go back and edit. cant wait to visit vietnam for the first time, hanoi here i come!

FYI for those waiting for approval I applied on August 16 AM Vietnam time and received my approval pdf by email Aug 22 PM Vietnam time. So 4 business days. Pretty good I assume they're swamped with those applying early for their Visas.

@@BevBailey-cx5ie If you haven't paid you haven't applied. I would redo it. The payment choices come up after you have submitted the photos in the required format and you have completed all required fields.
Hello NT, Your report is extremely helpful to me because I intend to travel to Vietnam to see if I can settle there at least for a year or more. You stated in your report that one should fill out the e visa application on one's own, but after looking the form fields over (that are detailed about my length of stay, where I am entering, where I am exiting, and itenerary, etc.) I have questions about messing it up and getting denied. Maybe someone who is more versed at this would attempt it, but I find it intimidating and dont want to blow my one big chance at the High School Dance, so I want to play it safe and inquire to a service for help. This is too important to screw up. I am grateful for your valuable iformation here. Thank you.
Application was not a problem for 90 day. But the new web site would not allow us to pay. When we hit pay we would get a message that the site was not secure. Tried Chrome and firefox and got same result. With edge could not complete the application. The cost is suppsed to be 50USD, is anyone also having problems paying?

malaysia gives a free 90 visa without having to pay anything.. you will get a 90 day visa on arrival without having to apply for advanced.. english is widely used in malaysia and all signs are in 2 languages malay and english.. the important thing is that malaysia is clean, not chaotic and organized..👌enjoy your holidays🥰

Cambodia. not France. oh,well.I wonder if kind of outside civilization could be considered peaceful. usually kind of not really (arctic,sonoran desert), well sometimes (ocean). anyway, not sure if countries 'have' stress. Malaysia had motorbikes, at least when I was there. Electric bikes also exist. Cars and trucks can get obnoxious, need more fuel, more roads (more concrete=more CO2). Sometimes Malaysia seemed actually too quiet (boring), especially Kuala Lumpur (but probably changed). You were talking about Vietnam? I have only seen Hanoi (before 2010), Ha Long bay, and Vinh (and border areas with China and Laos). Maybe someone like chaos with motorbikes? who knows? Malaysia is a boring country. I wanted to travel around there for a month but got bored after 12 days and flew to Bali . Indonesia is more exciting and beautiful😍

Everytime I do select 90 days and also multiple entry, at the time of payment it does not charge you 50 usd, but 24 something, meaning it just decides to go back to a 30 day visa. What is the right amount and type of currency to input? I put I would spend 3,000usd and on credit because I would not do all cash nor all credit... Was that it? Same happened with my friend... none of us are getting a 90 day visa (American). I wonder what we answered wrong.
The old portal was easier now they ask for some extra information. If there is no asterisk do you need to put in the information ? I'm in Vietnam now on the 30 day visa ok. I did it myself approved in 3 days okay
Hi, I am told by my friend that you still need to pay an extra US$19 plus a photo when you land Vietnam with your E- Visa, even you have paid the US$25 processing fee. Is it correct please ?
@@keymae6714 no just have your visa printed in color. No extra fees with the e visa your photo was uploaded when you applied for it.
I filled out the form for my 90 day multiple entry visa successfully but not until i watched this video I think there may be an option to switch to English at the very top of the page that i didnt notice that would have made it easier than using Google translate although that worked for me too 😅

@@robertivers306 I did one and I am now in Vietnam. There is indeed a English button in the top right. Go for it. Seems like they are handing them out like candy. But act fast Vietnam changes their mind every second it seems.

it took me hours to be able to do it , you should use firefox , did not work with chrome and microsoft edge, as for the photo and passport upoload It did not work with PDF , I took a bit of larger picture with my phone then I selected edit ( croped it smaller then It was less the 2 MO so I could upload it ) at the end my paiement did not work so I used another credit card from a different bank then it worked both were mastercard , now I just have to wait I guest, good luck . just to make sure do we need to get it stamp and pay at the airport another fee ? i hope not : )

Still, like with the last 30-day visa website portal, there are so many issues causing the application process to crash many times from the beginning to the payment portion. So frustrating! Thanks for all the info
I'm just wondering if you could extend this 90-day visa - so either leave and apply for a new 90-day visa or be able to extend it while in Vietnam.
My application was submitted yesterday and rejected yesterday due to the photo upload not following the correct format. After re-uploading the photo, my application has remained "frozen/paused" - I've had to call through to have them investigate. After coming from the 30 day visa process - the new visa process is quite different. Let's hope for a great outcome :)
Need to reduce the dpi of the photo. Too large of a file and it kicks it.
I forgot to include some information on my application and now I cannot make the requested amendment. The captcha function isn't working. Frustrating. They cashed my fee, but still no visa.
Vietnamese overseas just go to the travel agencies and have them do the visa for you, just have to pay $80-100, you get back in 1 week

Thank you for this Video. I believe there is a problem that a number of people might face. When filling in the application and Uploading profile picture and passport picture .jpeh formats and then clicking next, it seems like the photos are not there or are not shown. Tried to upload few times, it always shows the picture when filling in the form but not after submitting. Another thing is that for example I added my passport number in the form but when you check the application profile it does not show the passport number so some details go missing. Does anyone else have a similar issue ? I will find out on Monday if everything is okay with the application by calling them.
I had same or similar problem. I was able to submit the application but when the page refreshed the photo and passport images did not appear. Then at the bottom of the form there is a field for Confimation Code, but I do not see a way to obtain a confirmation code?? Will this be coming to me via an email in the next few days? This process is a bit confusing. Is there a source to get technical help?

Got a code but doesn’t show me anything, and payment was successful
at the top is the SEARCH. Click on it. The trick is to keep it in Vietnamese. Enter your application number(not update code) in the first box. And captcha in 2nd box. click. You will get details in Vietnamese at the bottom. Use translator. You will know your application status.

It is not a big market, so it would likely be difficult to find a company to sponsor your work permit.
Hello Alex, I had a problem in january 2023, I overstayed 5 days on a 30 day visa. Because of a motorbike accident. I could not get visa extension. In the end Immigration charged me 100 USD at the airport, and they took a copy of my passport. Do you think I will have difficulty getting a visa next winter ? Is it considered like some sort of offense to the rules ?

They're not really available yet. The site isn't up and running so you cannot apply yourself. You might be able to get an agency . There are hickups on both systems. Immigration said today they aren't working.
hey there , i just had a quick question about the 90 day eVISA if you dont mind. i have been approved for the 90 day evisa, from 1st November 2023 until 30th January 2024. however i am unsure as to the procedure when i arrive at immigration, as i do not have a physical evisa , i just have a print out of the verification from the official portal site( the writing is in red, i presume it will be green writing on 1st of November) , so i was wondering , is it on a database when i arrive . any help on this matter ?? thanks very much ,

Interested in this also. It would be great if you could extend the 45-day visa-free into a 90-day visa towards the end of the 45 days. If not, it may be better to apply for the 90-day visa right from the start.
Also curious about this, but when I researched visa extensions within vietnam they usually extend the same amount you applied for before (so if I had a 90 day visa they would extend to another 90 day, same goes for 30 day) but I could be wrong.

Lately the go-to solution for expats in the region has been bouncing briefly to another country and then back into Vietnam on a new e-visa (seems you can get multiple e-visas in a row with no problems-personally I've gotten ~5 of them over the last year, so I'm not constantly there, but on and off). Flights from Vietnam to Thailand and other nearby countries are often just ~$40-70 each. I'd just take a little trip to Bangkok or something.

The required information is the same but the Immigration system is more friendly and easy-to-use then

You do not need to apply for a visa, correct. You need to leave the country after 45 days.

@@minhvzs Yes, just get the 90 day e-visa if you're planning to do more than 45 days. Otherwise you will have to exit and re-enter the country.

Hi Alex! Can I stay for more than 30 days per entry as a tourist with this new multiple entry 90 day visa? I saw somewhere that with the multiple entry 3-month visa "each entry allows only a maximum stay of 30 days for tourists, and 90 days for business travelers". Thank you!
If it works the same as the old multiple entry visa, you can stay for more than 30 days on the 90 day multiple entry visa. Although I don't know for sure if it's the same as before.

You can be inside Vietnam for a total of 90 days. Therevis no word on extensions.

When submitting, I get a message "Giá trị phải là số"; and takes me back to Section 7 Accompany Children - which is not relevant for me. It is unclear what they want me to do here. Have others had this issue?
You have no children to travel with you so you have to enter the number zero. The message in Vietnamese means : It has to be a digit number.

Hi Alex, I'm Italian, and I have a ticket to go to Vietnam from December 5th to February 12th (69 days in total). Due to the fact that I have 45 days to stay without any visa, and I'm planning to go to Indonesia in between, do you think I will need an e-visa? Also, i'd like to add...for me the application wouldn't allow me to put passport expiration date in the format it requested. It was only allowing the year. I think there is a bug/glitch in the system for sure
The new website is a complete pain in the arse; from a mobile anyway - half of the required information is in viet so you have no idea, what to enter. And then, when you press complete at the end of the form, it throws up a viet page, which I had not idea, how to navigate. On top of this, when you leave the page for longer than a few seconds (to use translate), it resets; which means you have to start the process, all over again. Fun
I didn't recieve an email but after checking the site, my visa application results were returned. However, I can't access the result file. I get a 403 access denied error. Not sure if this will ever be resolved. Also cannot find a support email address. Do youself a favour and apply through an agent.

I applied for my visa via the old link on the 15th itself. The new link wasnt on the website yet. However, the status still shows processing. Trying contacting their customer service through email, but no response. Is there any other way to contact them?

Not sure! They aren't intended for long term stay so the government would have the right to deny someone who was using them for purposes other than tourism.

You mentioned that it’s easier to get a job if you’re already in the country and I was wondering if, considering I’m from the UK, I could feasibly come to Vietnam without a Visa and obtain a job / business visa within the 45 days I am exempt?
Are there other conditions under which you are able to enter the country without a Visa aside from being of a certain nationality? I’d be travelling from England without a Visa so I want to make sure there wouldn’t be complications when I got to the airport on the other side. Thank you!
45 days will likely be enough time to help you secure a job, yes. Yes, as UK citizen you can get 45 days on arrival, no visa needed and nothing else you need to organize ahead of flying in.
My eVisa does not have a photo. I thought that my uploaded photo for the application would be on the approved eVisa document from the research I've read. Please advise whether your approved eVisa has your photo from Vietnam Immigration Department. If not, do I need to bring 2 visa photos upon arrival in Vietnam to present to immigration

But the error popped up everytime when I need to pay and it didn't allow me to go to next page. Should I use this new website even through I m not planning to stay more than 30 days? If your country is required to have visa. Some countries do not.

For portrait photo, can I just use my phone to take one? I mean do I need to hand in a physical one when I enter Vietnam?

You just leave Vietnam by the time the current evisa expires and come back with a new evisa. It is not possible to extend a Vietnam e visa till now.

Hello, I didn't take the picture of the update code once I submitted the application. The update code wasn't sent to my email. Do you know how to get the update code back so that I cam upload the documents they requested? Thank you.
I have counted at least eight difficulties, inaccuracies in the visa application website. The latest is the drop-down answers to choose from are all written in Vietnamese. The system is definitely broken it is not clear at all. And under gender you click it and an hour later it still says loading. And the symbol for mandatory answers ask me for my residency cccd #. And under value of visa I assume they mean single entry or multiple-entry. Also passport type are written in Vietnamese.
The captcha function is not working to review or make changes to submitted application. They still have a few kinks to work out.

I’ve been doing my certification with International TEFL Academy 11 week online course and there services and information have been second to none for me. They are based in Chicago USA 🇺🇸!
It’s a fairly well known online TEFL course. I’d say it probably has the same pros and cons as most online TEFL courses in that price range - enough to potentially get your foot in the door for a job but not providing the practical skills and teaching practicum that classroom based courses do, which employers ideally want teachers to have. We have had a few people upgrade from their course to our in-class TEFL program in Vietnam for those reasons (we offer a discount for those who have already taken an online course through another company).

In addition, I have also stumbled across the Ninja Teacher Vietnam program and have been nothing more but amazed with the organization you put together! Jamie, I did the same course. I've been teaching in Vietnam for 5 years. It will get you into 90% of the jobs here. For IELTS training and University level teaching it's not much use. But for Public schools, Preschools and many language centre's like ILA it's acceptable.

@@holdennguyen when people get easy Visa without asking them if they have 1000 USD they will come to your country to look for jobs and then if they don't have the money they will ask for money in the streets. Already in the streets there were foreigners asking for money, and vietnamese give them. Also a Canadian who didn't want to work as a teacher he only wanted to live in the countryside and do gardening he overstayed more than 2 years. Nigerians doing scams and then they say the people are racist against them or Iranians with false documents stealing from a shop. In Japan, black men harassing people in Shinjuku to go to their bars,I don't even drink alcohol and they followed me to go to their bar and they said they had beautiful girl, I don't even like African women. They are never deported from Japan. Japanese people never harassed me.
@@holdennguyen I was even talking to an African man he was worried about his student visa was going to expire, he can't get a job. He is not definitely going back to his country. Now he has the tourists visa.
Are all nationalities now eligible as well for the 30 days visa or just the 90 days visa ,do you have an official link for the nationalities included in the eligibility?
Since 15th August, Vietnam evisa is applicable for every nationalities with option of single or multiple entry and it can last upto 90 days.

I recently got a90 day multi entry e-visa for Vietnam. Mine got kicked back due to wrong name.... Best to enter the Surname and Given Name exactly as it appears on your Passport. Being a Junior, it was causing my kick back as the Suffix was a part of my Surename.
I still have time before I go but has anyone entered under the 90 day and been asked to leave Vietnam at a specific date and then to return again under their 90 day?

Intended date of entry in online visa application means when we are landing in Vietnam or when we are boarding the flight ? Like we are flying on 25th of sep and reaching Vietnam on 26th sep . So which date to write ?? 25th or 26th??
I think the date you'd arrive in Vietnam, not the date you board the flight

Can we use the multiple entry visa to center different port, like Hanoi, Da Nang...? Since the Visa ask you the specific port of entry, my port of entry is HCM, but I want to go to other place the next time I come within 90 days.
