    I bought the exact model two weeks ago. Excellent condition, all women previous owners some were motability . 55,000 on the clock 2007. I’m going to look after this car. This could be the luckiest I ever get. Mk5 is the best design I think!.

      What engine did your car have?

    • @johndavidson7476
      @johndavidson7476 Před 2 lety +3

      1.6 FSI medium range engine, if it had been any bigger some boy racer would of bought it and floored. It’s unbelievable quiet, spare wheel an Jack never used. Spent money on filter changes oil etc…, Great for around town with the family. The rear of the Mk5 easily the best golf design.

      @@mountfitness6748 Motability owner, she was asking 1800, I pointed out a few jobs needing done. Got it down to 1500. You don’t find cars like that with the spare wheel never! been used and incredibly low mileage. I’d never get a second chance like that again. Worth 750 I know, no problems still.

    I bought a low mileage 1.6 FSI 07 plate in 2014, never had any trouble with it, apart from service parts, I've only had to buy a battery and 2 tyres, and it has plenty of life left in it at 110,000 miles

      @@forza223bowe5 _Can._ But, as with any car, major and expensive services such has brake and suspension component replacements will eventually have to be undertaken. If the engine or transmission fails, forget it! At this point, the owner of the old car will probably decide the maintenance costs are just not worth it, so the car is then scrapped.

      Yes. The Mk6 Golf commenced production at the Wolfsburg Plant in 2008, presumably immediately after the predecessor Mk5 ceased production.
