Hey I live in winter hill. But love Davis sq and. Magoun Square
Couldn't wait to move out of slumerville in 1972, but now can't afford to move back there. Who knew?
Nice summary. These neighborhoods all have high walk scores with great public transportation, and you don't need to own a car. Other highlights nearby are the Somerville Library, Market Basket, the Burren, Redbones, the Somerville Theater, and the winter farmer's market at the Armory. The downside is that it has gotten very expensive to buy here, and properties sell in only a few days. And we are all waiting for the Green Line Extension, coming this fall.
What about the bike path running right through Davis Square, very popular with bikers, joggers, walkers, baby strollers, etc. Goes all the way to Belmont.
The bike path is awesome. Thanks for mentioning it. I love that path.
