    This is, bar none, one of the most intense and insane teaching videos I've seen. There is so much valuable information that multiple repeated viewings is a mandatory requirement. I like how you touch on so many aspects of playing, even the importance of one's core muscles! I need to watch this at least a couple more times to just input all the amazing teaching points, much less start digesting them. Thank you for this incredible video. It gives me a glimpse into the mind of a true top notch pianist/artist.

    Thank you so much for giving tips on how to play precise as well as musical. I haven't had a teacher for almost 4 years now and I've taken a really long break from piano for other extracurriculars. As I'm getting back into it, these videos makes me feel like I have a teacher again! I just want to thank you for giving us such good information free of charge! 🙏

      Dear John, It’s hard to be consistent with anything but if your heart is in it, you will always come back to it. Videos can’t replace a real teacher but with keen ears and passion your work will pay off!

    I am amazed at the pianist’s agile fingers with control over the keys!
    This piece seems perfect for an accomplished pianist.
    At a time when I find it challenging to distinguish one day from the next,
    this rigorous and dazzling piece gives me a great pleasure. Thanks

    Merci Jeewon Lee ! Je n'ai pas votre niveau, mais je peux sentir que vos conseils sont basés sur la réflexion , le bon sens et l'expérience. Ca me plaît beaucoup. Je pratique un peu cette étude, juste pour m'entraîner à déchiffrer plus vite une partition, et du coup, suite à cette vidéo, je vais intégrer vos conseils.

    You are amazing!! The control, temperance and concentration you have is 💯 % ! I’ve never seen this in any pianist. Hopefully I can work my way up here to a piece like this. I would love to see your take on Rachmaninov Concerto No.2 Mov 1 &2💕I’m currently starting from the back of Mov 1 and would love to see your dissection.

    i'm drooling as it's my favorite etude and I crave to play it, but even if I have the "level", I don't know how to practice correctly (I ruin my work by bad practicing), reason why this kind of video is so valuable to me. thanks a lot

    I actually think that, apart from arpeggios, being able to read/hear every single note in the sextuplets is the key to the success playing this piece. Otherwise playing will have to rely rather heavily on the muscle memory for such a long etude. Nevertheless reading/hearing may become difficult when playing it on a piano or in a venue with loud resonance (murky).

    6:33 the most difficult part of the etude for me)) because the right hand positioning is so weird, with your thumb on B.

    Hi! Thanks for the tutorial! I have small hands and I struggle at part 6:33. Do you have any tips for me to practice and play crystal clear like you did?

    • @JeewonLeepiano
      @JeewonLeepiano Před 2 lety +7

      Practice it in double dotted rhythms. But also do not try to over- articulate every single note. Pay more attention to the pinky and fourth finger making a line (A-G, A-G, A-G). I think that should help!

    Hello, should I practice this with pedal? Or be able to play the whole piece first and then learn pedal? What about speed? Thank you so much!

    • @JeewonLeepiano
      @JeewonLeepiano Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hello!
      I suggest you practice it without pedal until you can play through it in one tempo without stopping too many times. That way, you can listen to your bare sounds better (so you are not unintentionally hiding behind the pedal). But it’s so tempting, I know. It’s totally OK to play with the pedal once in a while and practice the details without it.
