How is the throttle holding up? Still happy with it? Cool that you found the right connector. I've been using the 3d printed thumb throttle adapted to the standard throttle, but the PLA is weak and I've broken a couple. May try this instead.
Throttle is beautiful and it still works like normal! Ive dropped this bike a few times not like crazy tumbling but it falling on its top once in grass from wheelies to it just falling From slip outs or just falling over off the kickstand from heavy winds. Lots of fast trail riding and heavy off-roading with alot of rocks so a whole lot of jittering and bouncing and still no problems.
This is a good video, but ironically I'm watching to go from a stock twist throttle to a Sur Ron one on my stealth e-bike. I grew up with dirt bikes and prefer a standard throttle to a thumb. plus, standard grips are way softer and easier to hold onto than the hard plastic ones shipped with most e-bikes.
For grips thats another reason i wanted a thumb throttle because other stock ebike grips are indeed dog dookie. With this thumb throttle i can use any pair of grips i want so as you see in the video im using mountain bike grips. They are easy to install or remove, comfortable, very grippy and stylish.
It definitely matters. One is Negative connection the other is positive and the last would be the signal connection. as of right now i can't remember what color is what on the surron cable though
I have no clue. when i did this for the surron it was all an experiment so if it failed i would have recorded and did all this for no reason but luckily it worked. i could try to research and comeback to you to see what i could find but thats really it. If you did do research and didn't hear anything about this having a hall throttle or another weird type for throttle i guess it never hurts to try? Or try to see if people have done d.i.y throttles because if they have then you could maybe make it work.

You can get one of these and implement it for regen breaking if you have a custom controller.

Idk if it matters, but does it matter where each wire goes? Or did you just randomly insert them?

Im staying away from buying a Talaria because of the same whiskey throttle issue. Do you know if it would work similarly with a Talaria sting?
