nice video, i'm painting my own car here in germany and i have noone to teach me, i just bought some stuff and started painting in my garage :D i know its not comparable to your work at all but i love painting and additionally i can literally see what i learned and improved. So big thanks to you, i tried your "style" and it turned out great. my last clear coats have been a bit whacky (but no pressure, i have time to learn), i had to polish them to not feel rough. i think i feared adding too much paint and make the paint "run" (like drops idk.the english word) so i added too less... i hope i will be as good as you sometimes and will watch your videos just for fun except to learn.

I like the microfiber towels to tack and I use your technique of using your hand to double check and feel cuz I can get that feel like i get with a regular tack rag..So thanks for that tip. Also bought the Walcom HTE 1.3 combat..Sprayed the clear real nice. Waiting for my carbonie SP? clear gun to arrive.

Nice job. Your base system seems very slow and long-winded. With Cromax Pro or similar the base is complete in one visit - a medium coat followed immediately by a control coat and it's ready for clear.

Always snapping up new stuff to try out from your videos! I’m spraying Glasurit now and the feeling when spraying the clear is ”thick” (din4 18-21s). Im always adding 10-20% extra reducer, but im not getting the glass finish I got from PPG! Keep it up!!

Ive been told to drop psi down to 8psi and back up 16inches at a 90% over lap for control coat , never seen 27psi till now

Hello Gabriel, nice to see another great video, always very professional. The Walcom brand is made in ITALY and the ANI brand too. both brands are Italian. because I have some pistols ANI are cheap and work very good too. Is the same company made both brands or is a diferent company.??
Different company walcom is independent. I have gone to their manufacturing facilities in Italy
quand jai vue comment il place la peinture .jai commende version 1.3 fait des test fan vertical et horizontal + fait un test pour la base et le sealer ca fair un bon compagnon pour ws 400 bien satisfait pour le prix un gros merci mille fois. a plus
I just bought this gun with a 1.3 to use for base and clear could I get away with it since you did recommend a 1.2 for clear gonna be spraying European clear which is a tad bit thick greetings from the US

Heard good things about those spray guns. Think I have to try it.
You might want to see if manufacture will make a Low CFM cap option.
With good atomization. Maybe no VOC restrictions.
Been using one for single stage and another low CFM cap set up for small areas. Less overspray and use of material. Think transfer rate is high.
It is easier for DIY or if using smaller compressor.

That's for real, a 100% decontaminated part makes all the difference and some people tend to let slide dirty or humid interiors, and that gun ow boy, it's way too cheap for it's performance

Excuse my ignorance. I'm not familiar with auto painting, but I would like to ask a question regarding the air pressure adjustment. How does adjusting the air pressure affect the application of paint?
In a few ways. Some ways is the way that the paint comes out. Less pressure bugger mud like droplets. Higher pressure finer droplets

I use my Walcom everyday I prefer it more than the iwata

I haven't got a chance to use it yet. I'm a weekend warrior. Got to wait for warmer weather to try new gun. I only shoot motorcycle re spray. Is the 1.1 shoot flatter than the 1.3
Yes the 1.1 would be finer but you can also choke the fluid tip on the 1.3 and male it a 1.1

Hi Gabe, love your video's but I'm a bit confused, I'm a DIY newbie to spraying and always thought that increasing your distance from the panel will give you more orange peel, I doing ok with primer/sealer and base but struggling to get a good finish on my clear. All I do is single panels with my Devilbiss SRI Pro Lite mini gun 1.2 tip at 33psi but I'm never happy with the finish, I've tried 4 to 8 inches from the panel but when further away the peel gets worse, if I get close the finish is a bit better but then I get runs, I'm pulling my hair out trying to improve my finish, any advice you can give would be appreciated, John UK.
You need to adjust accordingly. If you go away from the panel then you need to slow down to get a smoother finish

I have a Hand me down SATA90, I use it for primer and i cant buy new nozzel anymore. How much are additional Nozzles? I need a professional gun for base and clear.

Hey buddy which waterborne cleaner do you use on your tack cloth
We use the SX394 I know it’s pretty strong on the base because I keep it in a spray bottle as a first rinse of my guns and it dissolves the base coat quick

Walcom because its way cheaper and performs better. Lighter.

Untill is dry it will be different all the time with different products temps and weather always look at your paint manufacturers specs

For the slims yeah I recommend 1.2-1.3 for base and clear. For the carbonio the base gun I used they are more of an investment

Nope. Different guns. It's like saying a hybrid bike that is a good bike for road mountain and downhill is a good a a specific downhill bike or mountain bike. The carbonios are specific and perform incredible. I hope I make sense hahahaha

@@MOTIVATEDPAINTERS yea.. thats the point... thats worst time to use the wrong products. Microfiber rags hold dirt and grease like a mop. Worst thing you could use. Your supposed to use a clean towel every time you wipe a panel before applying filler/primer or sealer. And one towel for applying pre cleaner or degreaser and one dry for wiping it off. Your not supposed to spray the cleaner directly on the panel
