I just found this channel. You built a awesome sleeper car love it. I know you hated to see it go. I had a 86 briefly and wanted to do a sbc swap.but right time for the car but wrong time with no funds to do the swap.
I just bought this car I’m in dallas Texas love it , it’s the cleanest g body I’ve seen .. it has a new 6.2 motor with a 200 shot I kept interior identical , true sleeper
I had a 77 back in the 80s during high school. I miss seeing Cutlass all over. Nice ride. Color is a good one, interior brings back the good old days and looks just fine as is. Get sum
You have a really cool car, the only thing I would recommend is polyurethane bushings in boxed controlling arms, maybe a front end upgrade and C5 brakes! I miss mine I had a Pontiac 350 t/a engine. 1985 found with destroyed driveline in 1990 for $150 behind old shop covered in dirt and bird crap! They didn't want to touch it! Haha Was mint body after 3 hours of cleaning!
No white letter tires , white wall tires & would have wired hubcaps. Make it look as factory stock as possible. But that’s just me. All great additions you made
I would like to do a 1986 cutlass built since I had one of the cars as my first car in the early 1990's...it had the slow but reliable 307 V8.....How many hours of labor would it be to install one of these engines you installed... wondering what it would cost me to have someone do this job....
Honestly, I'm not sure what it would cost. I haven't been to mechanic in 20 years. I was watching a video of a truck with a failed lifter. The guy said that fortunately it didn't cause damage to the camshaft or the bill would have been $6000 dollars! Labor rates must be insane.
Something like that I would have just bought a carburetor intake and carburetor for it and avoided all the wiring and fuel system mods tank walbro pump all that put an electric pump out by the original tank used a fuel pressure regulator with return up by the motor and been done w it if I wanted to use the 4l60 e I would have gotten a throttle position sensor for the carb to make it shift or just gotten a 700r4 w the TV cable they work great and have a great low gear and of course overdrive the gas pedal cable would have worked w the carb so no mod there and had the same thing you've got for less money and less work and less hassle just my opinion tho if the car had injection before then of course stay w it but that didn't and I'm not opposed to carbs I am used to them and not afraid to use one I dont plan on driving to Denver or anything so I wont have to worry about adjustment of the carb where injection does it automatically I get that but cost effective I think is the way I would have went on this and got the same results no question in my mind
What about the factory wiring for the a/c did you go through all that and just keep what you needed? Because my old engine harness was wrapped in the same harness as the a/c
Can you please make a video on how you wired the cruise control.. i have the a psi harness and it comes with the wires to tie into the car cruise control but idk which wires they are.
have about 5 grand spare and an LS engine complete with accessories and harness..should get you in the ballpark, just the time on top of it...you pay someone else to do it,double that number easily.
Sold the car a few months ago. Sorry to see her go for sure.

Just bought an 85. Nice inspiration.
I've got to say, you've got one of the best detailed ls swap videos I have watched. I hope the guy you sold it to is enjoying it!
Beautiful Cutlass. I want to keep mines all original but really thinking about swapping the engine now.
Yeah, those 307 engines might be somewhat reliable, but they just have no power at all.
@@n5yiz I couldn't of said it better

Do you remember what wires under the dash you used to hook cruise control up?
Beautiful job...what kind of car did you find your LS motor into take out to put in your Cutlass
Very nice!
What about the factory wiring for the a/c did you go through all that and just keep what you needed? Because my old engine harness was wrapped in the same harness as the a/c
I never got around to installing the A/C before I sold the car.
Can you please make a video on how you wired the cruise control.. i have the a psi harness and it comes with the wires to tie into the car cruise control but idk which wires they are.
Beautiful car. I have a question about the wheel set up. Are you using spacers on the rear or is that all tire?
I have 1/4" spacers on the rear, but it doesn't need them. I just threw them on there because I thought it looked better with them.
Nice bro
Nice shocks
What kind of power steering pump and alternator bracket did you use
what's the tank and everything in it
Nice car
I have a hemi laying around... Maybe I'll put it in my 84 cutlass
how did you pick shocks after lowering it 2 inches with a body springs?
Mine was that same color inside and out.
Shoulda taken us for a ride.
Sold...hear it's in Dallas now.
Looking to buy this same Gbody and color.
Which brake kits do you recommend ?
It just had the stock front and rear brakes.
Lq4 cast iron I believe, do those fans keep it koo enough, or are u barley getting by. Beautiful setup by the way...
The Dorman fans are more than adequate. The move some serious air.
They came with a260 v8 had one
Nice 👍
Could you tell me the tire size on front and back?
P255/60R15 rear, P235/60R15 front
I have 1/4" spacers in the rear. They aren't needed, I like the wider stance and I already had them so I used them.
Can you tell me how you ran the vacuum lines
I have a 1979 Cadillac Seville with a olds 350 diesel. I want to LS it. What type of motor mounts you used?
I don't remember exactly. If you look through the previous videos, all the info is there.
U goT my voTe.....
How much $ for the whole swap?
have about 5 grand spare and an LS engine complete with accessories and harness..should get you in the ballpark, just the time on top of it...you pay someone else to do it,double that number easily.
Those are some serious accessory drive brackets. Whats going on with that?
Standard bracket set from Dirty Dingo.
Is it for sale
