陽明交大應用藝術所賴雯淑老師延續2019年六然國際互動劇場的《原諒．遺忘》一劇，於2022年將之改編為《幽靈記憶》多媒體光桌說故事，再度回到大煙囪歷史現場進行展演。相隔將近三年的兩件作品皆以新竹六燃為承接點，前後串起臺灣被日殖民、太平洋戰爭爆發、撤退來臺的軍人，以及臺灣歷史的迂迴轉折。煙灰覆蓋下的二戰、殖民的烙印、離散的生命、眷村的記憶彼此交纏疊加，以錯綜的方式展開遺忘、原諒、記憶與歷史幽靈的交纏。探問：如何重新觸碰記憶，而能夠釋放被囚禁的仇恨軀體，給予真實的原諒？
Prof. Wen-Shu Lai from the Institute of Applied Arts, NYCU adapted the 2019 theatrical piece For-giving‧For-getting for the multimedia light-table storytelling performance Phantom Memory in 2022, delivering the performance at the historical site of the “Big Chimney” again. The two pieces, with a nearly three-year hiatus, were based on the Sixth Fuel Factory, Hsinchu Branch. They strung the twists and turns of Taiwan’s history, including the colonization of Taiwan by Japan, the outbreak of the Pacific War, and the retreat of soldiers from China to Taiwan. The smoke of the Second World War, the imprints of a colony, the diasporic lives, and the memories of the military dependents’ village overlapped. Forgetting, forgiving, memory, and the ghost of history intertwined intricately. They sought to explore how these memories can be rekindled so that the imprisoned bodies of hatred can be liberated and true forgiveness can be given.
