      Meenakshi hostel does not have a gym or a supermarket inside. However, there is a supermarket outside of the Meenakshi block. Electronic gadgets, including hair appliances like straighteners and dryers, are not allowed inside the hostel.

    1)does srm let US see pick rooms when we come for physical enrollement (after we have booked online)?
    2) is it true that or freshers a specific floor is assigned, if yes then which ones? which are the best floor to pick?
    3) which room numbers are best according to you? in terms of 2 shairng ac with washroom in M BLOCK?
    4)is the hostel room allotment COMPLETELY random, can we make requests for roommate change etc?
    5)is the hostel linient, like you can secretly have induction or kettle? i saw u took ur food upstairs even in front of warden or someone so i am curious
    sorry if it's too many questions, but i owuld appreciate it if u can answer all of these systematically, by number. SUBSCRIBED then :)

    • @rockwithacsisters6592
      @rockwithacsisters6592  Před 19 dny +2

      Sure, I can address your questions systematically:
      1. **Physical Enrollment and Room Viewing**:
      At SRM, it's common practice to allow students to view their rooms during physical enrollment, even if they have booked online. This helps students confirm their room choice and address any concerns on the spot.
      2. **Specific Floor Assignment for Freshers**:
      Yes, SRM usually assigns specific floors for freshers to ensure better management and ease of transition. The exact floors can vary each year, but typically, lower floors (such as the first or second floor) are reserved for first-year students. These floors are generally closer to common facilities, making it easier for new students to adapt.
      3. **Best Room Numbers in M Block (2 Sharing AC with Washroom)**:
      The best room numbers from 36-53 but it's best to visit and decide based on your preferences.
      4. **Hostel Room Allotment and Change Requests**:
      Hostel room allotment is generally random to ensure fairness. However, SRM does allow students to make requests for room or roommate changes. These requests are considered based on availability and valid reasons. It's best to communicate any specific needs to the hostel administration early on.
      5. **Hostel Policies on Appliances and Food**:
      SRM hostels have strict rules against using personal electrical appliances like induction stoves or kettles due to safety concerns. However, many students find ways to manage discreetly. Regarding food, the hostel staff may be lenient with students bringing food to their rooms, but this can depend on the warden and the specific rules of the hostel block.
      I hope these answers help! If you have more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask.
      This is the correct information only , as it is so many questions I preferably select easy way to answer ,my main intention is u to clear all u r questions still if u have any queries u can ask 😊

    Hey is there any arrangement for parents who come along with students during documentation?

    • @rockwithacsisters6592
      @rockwithacsisters6592  Před 19 dny +1

      Yes, SRM University typically makes arrangements for parents who accompany students during the documentation and enrollment process. Here are some common provisions:
      1. **Waiting Areas**: There are designated waiting areas for parents where they can sit comfortably while the students complete their documentation and enrollment formalities.
      2. **Accommodation**: SRM University sometimes collaborates with nearby hotels or guesthouses to provide accommodation options for parents. It's a good idea to inquire in advance about such arrangements.
      3. **Refreshments**: Some facilities might offer refreshments or have cafeterias where parents can relax and get something to eat or drink.
      4. **Assistance Desks**: There are usually help desks or information centers where parents can get guidance and assistance regarding the enrollment process and other queries.
      5. **Campus Tours**: Sometimes, the university organizes campus tours for parents so they can get familiar with the campus while the students are busy with their formalities.
      It's best to check with the university's admissions office or the specific department handling enrollment for detailed and up-to-date information.

    • @rockwithacsisters6592

      Meenakshi is non AC but it's near to college and kalpana chawla is AC but it's little far from college
      Ultimately, whether a hostel is "good" can depend on personal preferences. If you prefer a quieter, more academic-focused environment, Kalpana Chawla might be better. If you enjoy a more social atmosphere with a lot of activities, Meenakshi might suit you more. It’s a good idea to visit both if possible .
