They are from Mongolia. They use traditional Mongolian instruments with standard guitar bass and drums and throat singing. The call their style Hunnu rock, it mixes Mongolian folk music and metal/rock. The 2 string being played with a bow is a Morin Khuur, the 3 string being played like a guitar is a Tovshuur. You were close, the Tumur Hhuur is a jaw harp.
They are awesome live, saw them last year opening for Halestorm.
3 of their songs have been redone with new English lyrics and guest vocalists. Yuve Yuve Yu with Danny Case (From Ashes to New), Wolf Totem with Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach), and Song of Women with Lzzy Hale (Halestorm). They also covered Metallica's Sad But True in Mongolian.
Actually guitar is 5 string guitar. It's their traditional as well.
I love watching people's reaction to the first time they hear The HU. I've been listening to them for a couple of years now and they still blow me away!

Here’s a fun fact about this song. They are singing a made up language. They were asked by Electronic Arts Games to rewrite the lyrics for Black Thunder into a unique language so it would fit into the Star Wars universe.

The 2 stringed instruments are called Morin khuurs or horse head fiddles, the guitar that looks different is a tovshuur or lute.
It's a song in a Star Wars video game. The band is Mongol, the play a blend of traditional Mongolian instruments and traditional western rock instruments. There is a Mongolian version of this song that just came out. It's called 'Black Thunder" has an epic 2 part video. But you should really watch' Wolf Totem. '

Second, as Chris O said The Hu - Song of Women (feat, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm) is a realy great song and is 'suitable' for a slightly wider audience 😊

Ok this song Lucas Arts wanted an original sound for the new game back then called the Fallen Order. They came across the HU band and asked them to play an already written song. The leader said sure but there is a problem. We need to take this song and translate it into something familiar. So Lucas Arts said please contact e when finished. Well they did and told Lucas Arts that they also needed to make some changes. Lucas Arts said well play it for me and see what you have. He listened to it and called his boss and said listen and from that point on the changed song called Suugaan Essena made history.
