This is my first comment ever. Lester, your combination of great video and great explanation is so helpful! You are a born teacher/trainer. Concise, accurate and documented with perfect video! Thank you so much!!!
Mr. Lester Olive In The Shop: Thank you very much for your video. It was certainly very useful, informative, and valuable to me cause following your advice I was able to fix my Stihl FS90R weed trimmer and now it runs like new again! Please keep your videos coming cause they save me lots of labor fees.
Hi Lester, You really got me out of an emergency. The Stihl FS_90R wouldn't start because the line carrying the fuel filter had dislodged inside the fuel tank. Your video made it clear how to sort it. In fact I was able to do it with the carb left in place. Thanks a million Lester
Great explanation. Got my dads KM130R tuned up and working like a champ. The carburetor that I ordered came with a green hose replacement with the integrated cover. I hope it stays put.
Thank you for posting this! I just tried to replace the fuel filter yesterday and snapped that tab off, creating a hole in the fuel tank. Here I go to buy yet another replacement part :D
Hey Lester, thanks for the video, its most appreciated. Its funny that you mentioned that this one "belongs to the wife" of that couple you did the work for as mine belongs to my wife. If you could answer the following question I'd really appreciate it as I'm stumped and she really needs the FS90 running so she can cut some brush. A few years back I completely rebuilt our FS90 which included replacing the piston/ring/cylinder/carb and it ran great until a few weeks ago when it just died after being used. Wy wife turned it off, restarted it 10 minutes later where it started on the first pull but it died immediately and hasnt started since.. My issue today is that there is no fuel going to the plug. I just replaced that same plastic fuel line piece that you did in this video, replaced the vent, and I also tested the primer bulb before I reseated that new plastic piece into the tank. The primer bulb fills and I could see and hear the fuel returning to the fuel tank through the return line, but theres no fuel going to the plug. I also had a spare brand new carb that I put on and it still doesnt start! Any suggestions you might have would be deeply appreciated if you still monitor your comments.
Excellent video and explanation, thank you. Best camera work ever, too. My tab broke off as well, that's where I'm at right now. Do you think that the green fuel line plug-in assembly you get with an Amazon replacement carb will work if oem fuel line assembly is tough to find? Thanks again for making our lives just a bit less stressful. I'll be back for more vids!
Thanks for your video, BUT: How about Actually Listing the actual Stihl OEM - Parts Numbers for these Replacement parts in your Description below the video?? That would really Help many of us in locating the Correct Parts. and yes I realize that many times they have Up graded or Replaced the Parts with a New Part Number but, it would at least give us a good starting point.
Tab on fuel line plug broke. Any idea what part number is? Just left it until I can get new one. Stupid part should come with new carb, fuel lines, and filters! Mine has never been changed and wouldn't budge. Great video!! Subscribed!!!
Got new carb. Everything reassembled properly. Won't start! Went ahead and used new carb since I had it all apart. Now wish I'd left the old one on it and jyst changed hoses and filter! Hose that came with new carb seems smaller than hose I took off? Could that be problem? Everything else exactly as before!
Pulling on hose I Broke the top "Cap" off the air intake thing!!? The round black thing that had the hose on it next to the White thing! Snapped right off....how do I fix that now!!??
What if I broke the vent piece you just said not to break at 4:25. The one right next to the one you are replacing? Anyone who can help it'd be greatly appreciated.
Awesome video. Love how you explain each step and why things are to be done a certain way. Great job! Liked the video!
С трудом нашёл это видео. Возникла проблема с заменой топливного фильтра бензокосы STIHL FS 90. Благодарность за подробное описание.

Thank you for an outstanding video Sir.
Thank you so much! I was able to see much more than the other's because the camera was closer and at the right angles for a carburetor removal too!
Excellent video and great explanation. Repeat close up video is exceptional. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

Спасибо.
Thanks Lester what is the fuel filter assembly part number?
Is it better to rebuild carburetor or buy one already to go not sure because the price is the same both ways
Buy one
Too much dirt on reassembly
Do you know what the id/od is for the impulse line?
Can the white plastic fuel line grommet be replaced with the one piece green silicone unit?
No
No
I have questions
What if I broke the vent piece you just said not to break at 4:25. The one right next to the one you are replacing? Anyone who can help it'd be greatly appreciated.
Buy a new vent
