- To care for Monstera adansonii variegated or variegata provide more light compared to the non-variegated Monstera adansonii.
Monstera adansonii variegated needs lots of bright indirect light as well as well-draining soil.
These plants thrive in chunky soils such as aroid soil consisting of orchid bark, perlite, peat, and charcoal.
Water about once a week once the top 2’’ of soil are dry (5cm).
The ideal temperature for Monstera adansonii variegated is 65-80°F (18-26°C).
Fertilize every 2-4 weeks in spring and summer and reduce fertilization in autumn and winter.
Provide Monstera adansonii variegated with a moss pole that you can build on your own using sphagnum moss and chicken wire.

Nice vid. I like that you are no nonsense, and straight to the point about the plants. I recently got a one leaf cutting of this Adansonii Variegata, and I am rooting it in water, in my grow tent at ~89% humidity. Hope it will root soon, as I'll be nervous until I see new roots and new leafs...

Yes I also love the variegation a lot. But still the are not cheap. The good news is that the variegated Monstera adansonii becomes more and more available and the prices more affordable.

Thanks for the video. I have the regular Monstera adensonii, leaves getting yellow so I will repot in PON, check roots and make a sphagnum pole. Substrate is for aeroids but I think it stays too wet.
Sounds like a plan. If you have multiple yellow leafves it might make sense to check on the roots and see if there are any black mushy roots that should be removed. You should then also exchange the substrate and disinfect the planter if you spot root rot. Good luck!

I recently bought one with one mature leaf, half white, and the two baby leaves pure white. The mature leaf dropped off in full and I was advised to cut the pure white leaves off. Now I’m left with a stick basically, and terrified it’s going to die. It only has one root. Any advice greatly appreciated. 🌱
When you cut back the white leaves. Did you cut back so there is still at least one node or more left on the stem? If so cutting back was the right decision. I would make sure to provide really high humidity 90%+ (enclosed plastic container) and a heat mat underneath. This way you should have new growth in no time. Hope that helps.
