This is the story of St. Stanislaus Church in Milwaukee, administered by the Institute of Christ the King.

The video keeps a special eye on the restoration that is in progress. See how 19th century immigrants' work is being carried on today through the miracle that is the Traditional Latin Mass.
Video Produced by Bolder Pictures.

I was blessed to attend mass in this place last weekend. Wow was it so much different then normally parish churches and wow did it have so many young members and families
This is extraordinary. May God bless this holy endeavor.
God Bless you all for bringing St..Stanislaus Church back! You are glorifying God, honoring ancestors and bringing hope for the future. So much has been torn down in all of our lives by the secular culture especially in the last 50 years. It is time to cherish what is real, timeless and true. Our souls are crying out for what is splendid and magnificent. Our ancestors understood these needs of the human heart and soul. Thank you for helping to raise us up.
Hello 👋 There
How are you doing?
I got a link to this site from a FB group called The British Traddy trad trad Latin Mass Catholic group! It is a wonderful story of the great work the Institute of Christ the King is doing to preserve Catholic tradition. I go to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Oratory in San Jose, which is administered by the institute in a beautiful Five Wounds Portuguese National Church, and the church is still beautiful because the Portuguese would not allow it to be remuddled!
Hello Roseanne
May Almighty God bless and protect the priests of the Institute of Christ the King .
Ever ANCIENT, ever NEW, that is the CATHOLIC CHURCH.
Hello Guilda
+++ Institute of Christ the King !! Deo Gratias !!!
I believe the pre-1955 Holy Week liturgy is celebrated at St. Stanislaus too. Was very beautiful and would have made the saints proud. Canons Jayr and Jousseaume are excellent priests and I highly recommend all to come to a mass here.
We love this church. My wife and I are blessed to be part of such an amazing congregation.
God bless the Institute of Christ the King. If I were younger, i would join up with them.
Can you honestly imagine if there was at least one ICKSP baroque parish in each major city. It would be the fastest growing church in America.
@@orangemanbad i agree. i wish i lived near one
Greetings from Poland !
What an inspirational video and model for some of our new, cold, modern churches that were built or remodeled in the '60s. Bringing back an environment more conducive to prayer and worship and seeing the return of young families and children are such gratifying results for this restoration of God's home. God bless all those who worked so hard and contributed so much to make this happen!
Hello Margaret
You should see it now. The Institute is finished with restoration and the Church is amazing. It’s a sign the Latin mass, the Institute, and the Bishops and Priests that support it ain’t going anywhere.
Beautiful Church thank you for showing it to us.
Hello Haydee
This video needs to be seen by all Catholics especially here in California
St Stanislaus is leading US back to what Catholicism is all about
As a cradle catholic I live in sadness over the loss of my devotion being taken away by Vatican II
God bless you
At several Catholic Churches here in California When ive asked the priests if there was any chance that we could get Communion rails back
They have answered NEVER THEY WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK!
I hope they are wrong because bringing back the Latin in the mass and kneeling and receiving the Holy Eucharist on the tongue is
The essence of the liturgy and if it doesn’t come back I sincerely believe the Catholic Church will be gone or at the least a schism will occur in America!
I don't know where you live, but there are a number of Traditional parishes in California, and the number is growing. Of course, California is a big state, and you may be far from a parish that uses the Extraordinary form, but fortunately there are churches that follow Tradition and seek to incorporate Beauty to serve Truth.
Sadly Francis has banned traditional mass of the ages saying it divides people (though was the mass for 1700 years). Not sure his motive… find an FSSP or ICKSP parish!
WOW!! To God the Glory!~ This video gives me hope.
God's House should be beautiful.
God bless this work.
Great video! Wonderful witness to what is beautiful, good and true.
Thank-you for posting.
Great video.. very well done!
When all else fails, reboot and go back to traditions roots. Vatican II was the most destructive event to the Catholic Church. We have lost so many Catholics to Protestantism and atheism. Pray for the restoration of Pre Vatican II Catholic faith.
true it's so sad
I’d like to say Vatican II never intended that all the liturgical abuse happened if you read the constitutions of Vatican II the mass change would generally be the same just in the vernacular
Bring the sacredness to the Church. I hope the Churches here in the Philippines, bring back the sacredness.
Outstanding!. Congradulations to all involved in this huge undertaking. I am so pleased that that the beautiful tridentine alter was preserved and that the Tabernacle in in it's proper place of honor.. I weep over the stained glass that was destroyed as well as the communion rail, what beautiful craftsmanship!!!.I only pray that they have departed this life and did not have to witness that destruction. I belong to the Polish Nat. Catholic Church, and Our Parish has a similar history and decline, and similar problems with material and mechanical upkeep. GOD BLESS ALL. kevlutu
Polish nat. church has nothing to do with Roman Catholic church. your churh was founded by communists
Beautiful.
Thank you for posting this video. May God bless you and all the work you are doing!
Excellent
Amazing!
Mi SEÑOR y Mi DIOS 🙏💞🌹 Blessings from Mexico ❤️❤️❤️
I was just at Saint Stanislaus Kostka yesterday.
Beautiful Church
wow! amazing work!
This was my grandmother's and great grandparent's church. I remember in the 80's when the school closed. Wow! It looks beautiful & glad to see the revival going on there. Maybe we will come check it out ❤😊
Can anyone help restore st marrys church in melrose Minnesota we dont want to tear down this beautiful church and the home of melrose we love this beautiful home of god and we dont got much time . can anyone please please help restore it we are in the desperate need right now. Please help restore this beautiful church thank you
This was so inspiring! Blessed be God forever! And Merry Christmas!
The Catholic Churches where I live don't even have the Tabernacles in The Sanctuary
Its so sad to see our Lord Figuratively & Literally put off to the side.
Plus there is no kneeling after the Lamb of God, nor when you come back from Holy Communion! They is NO TIME given to pray & contemplate the Body of Christ which you have just received!
This is deliberately done & is an evil that needs to be changed.
@Janette Davis the orthodox byzantine is not "perfectly valid"
Institute of Christ the King is rebuilding the one TRUE faith across this great country.
I’m so happy for this beautiful parish!! It’s so nice to see that people are starting to get it! The 60’s through 80’s really hurt all Christian denominations in my opinion. Badly. Historic architecture was demolished for hideous unwelcoming, and usually poorly built buildings with nothing to offer people. Even the organs had a large impact. Beautiful old romantic/symphonic style pipe organs were either modified/revoiced or thrown out for garbage 60’s-80’s neo-baroque or electronic organs that sounded thin, bright and irritating, attempting to imitate instruments of the 1600’s-1700’s but failed miserably. Once a beloved instrument that was so highly revered that even the wealthy used to install them in their homes, and many people came to church to be immersed in the sound of a beautiful symphonic organ, which really gave you the impression that god was with you in that room... then once the 60’s came, the new style of instruments and electronic organs made a joke out of it and literally irritated people so badly, they came to hate the instrument. Then the music changed and the hippie bands and guitars came. This music didn’t really suit congregational singing and hurt the church more than people realize. Thankfully, everyone is going back to the old architecture and the old music. They’re even beginning to go back to the old style of pipe organ building. It’s really a beautiful thing and I believe the church is going to make a huge comeback! Given current events, we need the church and god more than ever right now! God bless you all!
Absolutely love this church and the people. So grateful to be able to go to Latin Mass.
What an impressive effort and people. That photographer seems like such a sweetheart - best wishes to all of you. :D
This same work needs to be done at the high altar of St. Josephat Basilica
How many of these young families are homeschoolers? I think god is working here. As a homeschooling mom with a daughter (who is a Daughter of St Paul), I am praying for your parish.
+Amy Moxley -There are a number of homeschoolers at the parish, but Milwaukee is also blessed with several orthodox schools like Trinity and Thomas Aquinas.
Nothing in the 60s made sense and I thought as a kid how stupid it was then.
Having lived through the 1960's, 70's I witnessed the destruction of beautiful liturgical art. It was replaced by such ugly and uninspiring garbage. I am so happy to see the traditional liturgical art coming back into church buildings. Thank God for the ICKSP and those communities dedicated to the TLM.
Muchos piden traducción de lo q dice el rvdo. Sobre la restauración del precioso templo.
Getting rid of that ugly carpet in the sanctuary and aisles will improve things and the acoustic! Maybe marble underneath?
Urban VIII luckily it’s all gone now! They had to jackhammer a whole bunch of concrete underneath to restore the rise to the high altar
Well done.
If there were an ICKSP parish like this in every major city it’d be the biggest religion on earth.
There's a beautiful St. Stanislaus church in the city where I live. They play recorded chant background music for shoppers/visitors - like a museum. Isn't that just pitiful. Churches renovated in the 60s make me ill. One here has a sanctuary so dark and empty you feel desolate.
Oh my.
Well water isnt toing to damage the new tile floors! Good
Wonderful video! I'd just like to know the background musics because they're awsome. Could anyone please tell me? I'd be really grateful! ^^
When Churches were renovated it was a sad sight. All the beauty removed, and the Churches were made to be as ugly as possible.. They called it, "According to the spirit of vatican ll" It would be great if the younger priests would restore all the sacred beauty to our Churches.
What they did to this Church in the 1960's is heartbreaking.
Is this Church associated with the Institute of Christ the King. I noticed the servers were wearing their robes!
Yes!
I wonder how the circumstances of this parish have fared after the present (2023) rules imposed on the Latin Mass imposed by the Vatican
Quisiera saber si es catolica tradicionalista y sede vacante?
deo gratias
The Bishop "St." Stanislaus was called the Traitor Bishop "traditor episcopus" Bolesław II the Generous was one of the most talented kings of Poland.
LEAVE THE SAINTS ALONE!
'1960's people wanted something new' - those people were not we, the laity. This was pushed on us by the priests.
I like the French Accent, note Purple Carpet.
“….. a lot of what they did in the 60s didn’t make sense.”
It makes sense if you’re trying to Protestantize the Church.
Who in the world would dislike this video? ISIS? Perhaps one vote from a guy in ISIS and another from Al-Queda?
Or maybe it was Polish people who think that St. Stanislaus was a traitor.
Pope Frank and his Chicago Cardinal henchman. 😉
