As someone who plays poker regularly, this would drive me nuts.
You actually know more than you would normally know in poker. In 5 handed poker, you know 1 of the 5 hands, here you know 4 of the 5. The fact that the one you don't know is YOUR hand is weird, but it should be eminently playable.

Knowing the other 4 hands isn’t very helpful when it tells you nothing about how your opponent will behave (given they don’t know their own hand) It would be rare that someone has a superb hand or no one has anything at all - they are the only two scenarios where you have more knowledge of where you truly stand
@@Runnerboy2012in terms of winning hands/not losing big it makes it much easier, in terms of winning big it makes it harder (unless Dom’s feeling lucky when he has nothing)

I was thinking it too. Not the bad etiquette part, I'm indifferent on that front, I just typically think it's just a stupid decision and laughed when Sully said "Right decision" to it. I'll not turn down a free lotto ticket even if the odds are slim
They also allowed string bets and illegal bet sizes. I think it's fair to say none of them played actual Poker before. Probably makes this even more entertaining.

A much easier way is to simply buy the headbands from that game headbands and put your cards on your head so you can not see your cards, but others can see them
Holy. Shit. Getting Dom to fold with an ace-high straight is insanity. House Rules is pretty hit-or-miss for me, but this one had me out of my mind with both disbelief and laughter, alternately. Loved it so much!
Dom is absolutely insane. In every way. And to the point where the line between a bit and true madness requires a telescope to clarify.
I think its sweet how Dom at all points was always trying to help Tilly 😂
One of my favorite ongoing bits is when Tilly just gives the camera that look while everybody else is acting the fool. It gets me every time.

They’re recording the in-person ones sometime this month. It may have already happened (Ben said it on his channel’s stream). Don’t know when it’s coming out. They have some online games with a few NRB members on another channel (Noobs on the Gooftower).

Tilly saying she spent hours watching the world series with Ken is so wholesome to me for some reason like wow they really do hang out off set. Like, with channels like these it's easy to assume that they are essentially actors playing as friends for the camera but I do get the sense that most of the cast actually likes each other at least. It was also nice to get a Ken reference when he was so clearly missing here. I like to think they asked him and he declined because he was wise enough to know all the foolishness would make him upset 😂 Like poor Tempest actually trying to play Crokinole during the silly tournament thing they did.

From what I’ve gathered a lot of them are actually friends and some are roommates outside of the show
most of them knew each other before joining the channel, so yes, they are friends outside of videos! (i.e. dom, sully & tilly were all at drama school together i believe)

You have no idea how happy I am that y'all did the calculations for the proper scores afterwards (if anyone's wondering, when you win an all-in, you can't get from others more than you put in yourself; after that everything goes to the second-best hand). If you left that open it would have driven me up the flippin' wall.
The best part of watching if you are cursed with genuinely not knowing how poker actually works is never knowing when to actually believe anyone on what they say. Just like you can't trust those boardgeoisie!
