"drink beer with me ", that's a thumbs up
Just an average guy drinking beer tinkering in his garage and winning races.
Hi I was idling my new DR 650 the cylinder head got up to 350 degrees the oil sump was 220.I measured the temperature with an infared thermometer. Most DR websites said that is sometimes a normal temp. I was wondering your thoughts?
Thanks
I was given a bit of advice a while ago to never check the temp of an air/oil cooled engine. You will drive yourself nuts. As long as its not running lean you are fine. Shut it down if you smell oil.
@@robinsonmotorsports9976 Great advice. I fortunately had the choke off. Thank you
That's a JE high comp piston and the timing mark should be on the line mark central to the inspection hole
Good eye! I had no idea, it does start a little hard, figured it needed jetting. Ill have to look a little deeper into this now that its winter here. Thanks!
Shouldn't stand in front of the white board...its like you dissappear
Listen “That Guy” at least the glare off my head isn’t slowing down the speed of Starlink...
More dr and less of your head
@Robinson Motorsports I've got a question to you. I've got '97 Dr 650 se, and it's problem is noise of timing chain. When I start the bike, it is louder, after revving it, it is hearable, when it is idling for few moments the sound stops, until i will rev it again. What can it be? There are only a few metal shavings on the oil filter, and it is normal in my opinion. Bike's mileage is 37k kilometers, about 20k miles.
