    Wow giant clans are such cool creatures.
    Do you think they will become used in aquaculture much? It seems a good way to preserve their species. It’s also advantageous that the algae provide most of the clams food, so really they’d only need some minor nutrients and sunlight plus filtered water to exist in aquaculture. Great vid!

    I keep a captive bred Maxima clam and I enjoy watching it filter the water it has such beautiful colors.

      You mean a foot, used to dig with? I don't think so. These clams stay fixed in place. They don't dig into the sand for protection, they just clamp shut.
