- This is a tutorial on a tassel chandelier that is hardwired to be mounted in a ceiling. Tassels are made from twisted cotton twine, attached to metal rings that are attached to a pendant light. I used this light in my nursery, but it could be hung in any room.
Inspiration for this based on Anthropologie Fela Tasseled Chandelier - www.anthropologie.com/shop/fe...

It looks like the most chic mop, in the best way.
haha! Not the first time I've heard it looking like a mop and that is so funny!
This is my quarantine project for my closet makeover! Love it!
It turned out beautiful. Thanks for showing how to hide the knot in the tassel. It was a clear view and appears easy to follow. ❤️
Thank you for the great tutorial and supplies list! I'm so happy with my end-result.

So great, thanks a bunch. I am a little late to the party but am so thankful to have found your channel. I will be ,making 2-3 for my porch using a few different methods I have found during my search for the perfect kind of boho, cute, casual lighting. My daughter and fiance have just purchased their first home so I think I will make them two for over their night side tables. Congrats on your families newest edition. I love your hair colr btw!!! Great Tutorial! Beautiful Lamp!
Thank you! 😊 Glad you like it.
this is so cute!! 😍
2:12 finally I know how to use my books :) The chandelier looks very nice, I like the material that is used and how soft it is. This is the only DIY I watched that doesn't look cheap.
haha that made me giggle! Also, thank you 💛
Love this xx
It's so cute Megan!!! I love the gathering knot for tying the tassel together. I've never liked the way mine finish, but this looks super. I'm definitely going to borrow that macrame knot!
Pattymac Knits thank patty! yes and it makes it feel really secure too which I like.
Wow, thank you!💕
hermoso!, saludos desde México

Carmille Vendetti awe best comment ever!! Thank you!!
Awww thanks . It is def true . You have great taste 💕
Nice job I’ve been looking for a hard wired light ( mine will be beaded) your video was the only one I could find. Thx for the info !
Glad I could help 💛
omgoodness!😍
I want to do a DIY, 3-tier, green/gray/white tassels chandelier for a dining room. I saw the chandelier hanging in a bedroom in a video on the Homeworthy CZcams channel. Your video is all I need to do it properly. Thank you.
I’m still working on my camp stool up cycle that I adapted from your hammock vid, my tangles have bad enough even at that smaller level but now looking awesome 😊this is beautiful and will be a beautiful soft light for your nursery
Moyra McRae ahh the tangles are the hardest part! Someone suggested rubber bands to hold sections together. It didn’t personally work for me but you may want to try it! And thank you for the compliment!
Yes tried that too but no good for me either 😂😂
Moyra McRae lol just power through!!! The shorter those cords get, the easier it is!
This is gorgeous . Really Inspired to maybe get a thrifted frame and just put tassels on. Lazy me.
Not a bad idea!
I am new! I know this is a year ago but WOW girl.....how stinkin adorable is your light! I feel like I can totally pull this off after watching your video. I NOW MUST go binge watch your videos. It's truly beautiful and I DO like it better than Anthropology's version! I most certainly subbed you! ;)
You’re so sweet! Thank you! Always trying to come up with new ideas. Thank you for the support 💛
me fascinan tus tutoriales todo lo quiero aprender pero X favor que sean explicados en español les agradezco la colaboración grahias
yaaaaas! I found this pendant on the Anthro website while designing my home office. After seeing the price tag I thought - I'm sure there's a DIY tutorial out there. Thanks for this, I'll be working on this ASAP!
Yes! I’m so glad you found it too 💛
@@MeganBell Just wanted to circle back and say I wound up making this. It's been hanging in my office for a couple months and I LOVE it! Thanks!
Oh that’s wonderful! Thank you for the feedback! 💛
Yours looks so much better than the anthropology one! New subscriber and definitely binge watching your videos. 😅
Say what!! Thank you!! 🥰😍
Megan Bell you are so welcome ❤️
Excited to make this. 17 tassels down. 😥 I plan on putting it over my coffee bar.
Haha I know the feeling! So gratifying once you’re done though 👌🏻
You got a new subscriber.
Thank you! 😍
Love this chandelier!! Wish you had shown it lit. I’m going to give this a shot when I get into my new house.
I should have shown it with the light on, you’re right!
Wow! Amazing! How packing cotton twins you used? 🙏
1000 like bravooo
How thick is the cord you use? I really like the look of yours compared to some others! Thank you 😊
This is an excellent DIY chandelier video. I would make one recommendation. Instead of plier-crimping the chain links to the one inch ring, how if you use some type of quick-release clips when you attach the chains to the one inch ring, so that the chandelier may be quickly and easily removed for dusting/hand washing, as the cotton string material will act as a dust magnet. Also, I can see possibilities for multi-tiers added to the two in this design.
Thank you for taking the time! 👏🏻
Ey! I ve loved this idea! But I didn’t get very well how she conects the smaller ring with de bigger one? Can someone help me please 🙏🏻☺️
What color is the chain you have? Thank you for sharing this video 💕
Hey! Love this diy! When the light is on does the chandelier cast any annoying shadows? Thinking of doing this in my room :)
Thank you! To answer your question, No, but we have our tassels packed tight and if you didn’t I imagine it would leave some space for light to leak and cast odd shadows
Omg love it! What shirt/dress are you wearing? Love the style of it
It’s actually a maternity shirt from H&M!! Lol
I am curious isn’t it a fire hazard? How to treat it so it won’t loose color from heat or cause a fire?
I know this is an old video but hopefully you see this reply and can answer. How bright is the light? I like a bright room but love this diy
Plenty of light shines through! You could do less tassels to make it more transparent.
Maybe you could also mop the floor with this
Totally missed something.. How do you connect the bottom frame to the top frame?
Love this! Any idea how much it weighs?
Not much! The twine is so light, and so are the rings and chain. Everything is of very light material
Do you glue the knotted ends of the tassels?
No I just tied them to the hoop and clipped off the loose ends
twine is the same thing as yarn?
👏🌺👍🤗🙏🥰
How thick is the cotton twine you used?
2 mm
In my living-room.
Yours is absolutely beautiful. Mine looks like an actual mop. Not sure what I’ve done wrong or if it’s just the pregnancy hormones 😭 maybe I can dye it?
Maybe your tassels are too long? You can cut them shorter and that’s less of a mop look. Or are they too bunched together? Try spacing them out.
;-)
Hmmm
voce e linda casa comigo sou brasileiro adoro americanas
it's very beautiful but leaving the knots on the frame in this state is unacceptable
especially given the time you put in this project
Looks like a mop on the ceiling😳 I would have used medium sized fur balls
Wow! Well thank you for the feedback I suppose.
If you make that fur ball pendant, please send me a picture! I’d love to see that!
