DIY Aluminum / Sheet Metal Brake Air/Hydraulic

We are going to build some aluminum mini jet boats and thought it would be nice to have our own break. After a bunch of CZcams-ing this is what we came up with. Works great but because it is so long we do have some flexing issues. Break has a usable 70" deck. After a few test runs we are able to bend 5 foot of 1/8 aluminum 5052. Will see if we need to change anything over the next couple weeks. Cost was about $350 and a bunch of metal we had laying around. Took two days to build. This can be used by hand for the small stuff and air over hydraulic for the bigger stuff.

Also an electric cylinder might be alot faster
