I was on pristiq for 9 months and gained 15 lbs. towards the end of being on it I was gaining weight extremely rapidly. I have read it effects a lot of people like that and i’ve never had that problem on any other anti depressant.
I highly recommend getting genetic testing done with your psychiatrist. it basically shows which anti depressants/anxiety meds work best with your body chemistry.

I use cloth napkins to put in my picnic basket and I feel like them being embroided would elevate it so much! Just an idea 😉

I was also super nervous about trying on dresses but I had a really nice time doing it, but yeah there was only 1 dress I wasn't able to try on which I was excited to try but ultimately yeah I felt so great in my dress. So exciting!
I GET YOU. I've been on celexa for 12 years and i'm currently trying to manage this drug switch journey to zoloft and i'm terrified. I have a strong attachment to my celexa. it's difficult to describe. Even though it's not working well anymore, and my anxiety and depression and really quite bad on it I am so scared of going on something new after all these years. It was just THAT GIRL for so long. I've picked up the zoloft and it's just been sitting for for 2 weeks because I spiral when I try to convince myself to start the process. mentall illness is fun :D
i feel this too, but deep down i know it will be worth it to find something that makes us feel like ourselves again. you can do it!!!!

I watched the whole thing. Granted I stopped like three times to do other tasks but while I’m working from home I love to have a good ole hour long vlog to keep me company.
i have major depressive disorder and ADHD and i’ve tried like ~15 or so different meds for mental health with no real benefits, now i’m on esketamine nasal sprays and it’s changed my life honestly
I will watch absolutely every second of any vlog you want to put out! It's like being on facetime with a friend and I just so appreciate how genuine you are in your vlogs!
Planning a wedding was the worst part of the wedding for me, but PLEASE try and enjoy every second - even the financial hardships - it's a time you want to look back on with fond memories! x
I gained back 20 pounds that I worked very hard to lose... But, my husband has reminded me countless times that the weight doesn't effect how beautiful I am and that I should not beat myself up.
It's still very hard to see your body change and have to ignore all the smaller clothes you no longer fit into. I have gotten better at staying positive about it... But, I have days where I feel awful and I want to hide from people.

I've also gained some weight in the past few years and I've dealt with a ton of body dysmorphia and negative body image so the dress shopping has felt soooooo overwhelming to me and it really gives me hope that you found a dress you love. I’ve been in a similar situation before. I was so desperate to feel better that I told my doctor I wanted to go back to a past medication that worked for me at one point until it stopped working 9 years into taking it. Unfortunately when I started taking it again after about a year break, it didn’t work at all. I only got worse. I hope you find the perfect med for you, I wish there was an easier way instead of having to just try them all and deal w side effects!

The same thing happened to me with Cymbalta! I was on it for 5 years, totally saved my life and changed it for the better, then randomly started giving me crazy side effects out of nowhere. I ended up on Wellbutrin with the lowest dose of Effexor (like literally not even therapeutic) and that's been the best combo for me, so just keep your mind open to other options should it not work this time. :) Also, the reason I think the SNRIs work best for me at least is because they are also treating my ADHD in tandem, which might be the same for you.

Loving the long vlog! Hoping you get your elevator to the top floor! This might be something that you've already looked into but it was missed by four different psychologists for me but I recently got an ADHD diagnosis and when you were talking about your class experience it really resonated with me. I'd always chalked up the distraction to other mental health issues and just being anxious (GAD, social anxiety, OCD) but it's been game changing for both my attention and anxiety to be able to think about one thing at a time. Didn't want to intrude but wanted to make sure this isn't your missing piece 💛

Hey girl, just to give some ideas around my experience...I am not sure if you have tried Wellbutrin but I started it 3 months ago and it has changed my life. It also helps with curbing appetite which has been helpful for me, but I am not sure if that matters to you! :)
