Taylor Swift sent Swifties into a spin, when, just hours after the release of 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT', she announced it was a secret double album, with 15 extra songs on 'TTPD: The Anthology'.

This album is also a homage to actual tortured poets. There are references to Sylvia Plath, Virgina Woolfe and the Dead Poets Society. There is deep intertextuality going on.

I am seeing lots of Swifties on social media dismissing her new album. They are saying it sounds too much like her previous works.
Not necessarily a problem with over saturation of her works,
but rather that so many of them sounds too much like the rest. The themes too predictable as if same song put on repeat.
Many are suggesting she needs to take a break and later come back and redefine herself.
I am not a dedicated fan of TS.
I sampled the Anthology double album. And to me it did sound too moody and solemn. So its not my vibe. But I don't get too deep into it so what do I know?
But I just knew the comments would be nothing but positive.
So I was taken aback when these Swifties weren't there for it.
