I went to my local grocery store today too. I couldnt find hot dog buns but i found the pack of 24 hotdogs for $3.99. I found 30% off stickers on 85/15 ground beef, beef short ribs, Italian sausage and shave steak. I also got a whole chicken for .99 a pound. Im set for a while now! Im planning to do hotdogs for the weekend to take to the pool or beach, no plans for the ground beef yet, birria tacos with the short ribs, baked ziti with the sausage and cheese steaks sandwiches with the shaved beef. 😄😄😄

I think, 2 plus pounds may be enough to feed your family for one Dinner, possibly two (or one Dinner & one Lunch). My favorite Stew has Potatoes & Carrots 😋. Tip: If you didn't already know, Baking Soda is a GREAT tenderizer. I would toss the Stew chunks in Baking Soda (1 1/4 - 1 1/2 tsp. per pound) overnite or 3-5 hours OR (1 1/2 - 2 tsp. Baking Soda per pound mixed w/water) & marinated about 20-30 minutes @ room temp. NOTE: ALWAYS thoroughly rinse meat before cooking 😗.
My husband took me to Hells Kitchen in Las Vegas for my Birthday. The beef Wellington was so good. The lobster risotto was great. They gave me a sticky toffee pudding for my Bday.
I was looking at the meat sales in our area and they had chicken drumsticks on sale for .99 a pound. I was looking through the family packs and found one marked 0.50 for the whole pack(16 drumsticks). I grabbed that up so fast. I even searched the whole cooler for more but was the only one. Soda was almost 9$ a 12pk. I earned enough points to reach the 1$ off per gallon of gas at there pumps. Great savings day. Nice shopping.

A egg and onion and s& p and maybe mushrooms if you want and then stuffed back in and the heel put back on and then wrapped in foil and baked for 30 minutes @ 350… and then let sit for 10 minutes before slicing into servings.. this was the meal mom cooked when we went camping as she would start a campfire first and put this at the sides and the coffee pot on the main heat and by the time she had finished setting up the camp site for us 6 kids and my parents she had a hot meal ready effortlessly… the steak I would slice up and make beef stroganoff
I’m impressed with the meat prices they had a lot of coupons , you remind me of me using drink mix I use it a lot with my kiddos bc it saves from buying juices n other beverages

I could live on Pork mince, Aldi has started selling it for $3.69 per kg, rather than paying woolworths or coles $6.50 per kg for the exact same thing, and it is all Aussie Pork! Milk here is $3.59 per litre and Pepsi for 10 cans 375ml $10 to $12.00 Some items can be extremely cheap and others expensive.
Use the chuck steak to make Swiss Steak. I serve mine over mashed potatoes. The meat will become very tender because it cooks low and slow for several hours
I use chuck roast by cutting it to pieces & make a beef curry & serve it over white rice. I’ve also would make beef stew/ shepherd’s pie/ beef pot pie with them. I love your channel btw.

Hubby tried to find some meat deals at Aldi today but no go lol. I use the powder Gatorade bc it’s so much more affordable than the bottles. Hubby used to take 2-3 to work in the summer bc he works outside so it was getting expensive
They don't do it often, and it does sound like a lot, but when broken down individually, she didn't do bad. Regardless, during these hard times, a little push in a budget can help one feel like it isn't totally sleek. They will say in the future how times were tough but our folks found a way every so often to make it more tolerable.
