    Best Boeing airplane. I prefer the 757 rather than the pig, I don't know why they stopped the production.

      Boeing built 1,050 757s (all versions) and, if the Internet is reliable, 55 were stored pre-COVID-19 and 11 were hull loses. I think some of the 55 were deregistered here and active in other countries, but those numbers should tell us something. The 75 is highly capable, a joy to fly and although getting old, about as reliable as you get. Not sure if there's another airliner so affected by economic swings (seats and fuel cost) and hub/spoke set ups. Adjusted for inflation, a new one today would be $93m (based on 2002 $) right at the low end of a 737 MAX or 737 NG. When orders evaporated for 75s, when MD was giving away MadDogs (which were about $20m less per copy anyway-as if list prices mattered in airline world) and when a new wings/engines refreshed & stretched the 737 (again), Boeing stopped making them in 2004. A few years later, airlines are looking under every rock for used ones, including the box haulers.

      Who are you calling a pig?
      I hope it’s not the glorious 767-300

      @@captbrakeset7630 Would love to get my hands on one with low hours and luxury convert it to private. IMO, the most beautiful people-hauler of the jet era and fantastic performance!

      David Pappas I didn’t say it wasn’t a textbook landing. Read it again.

    That Go Around altitude should have been set waaaaaay back, not on short final and no call out for reverse deployment by the PO.

    • @berzerker4998
      @berzerker4998 Před 3 lety +8

      1000 ft up is about 4-5 miles out, not even close to short final. The 1000 callout is a triple-check to make sure it's set, and that's exactly what happened. Nothing really wrong with what happened. And all callouts are SOP dependent, not all airlines do it.

    • @tcco94
      @tcco94 Před 2 lety

      Reverse deployment is not a call out here and 1000 cleared to land missed approach altitude set was the call out at 1000 ft. Not sure why sim pilots are critiquing things they don't know about.

      please shut up. another high and mighty flight simmer coming to the rescue on subjects they’re ill-informed on.

      Lol shut up captain Xplane, whether they were supposed to set it earlier or not, it was set in the end and they landed it near perfectly, also in the airline I work for we tend to set the missed approach altitude much closer to the ground on a non precision approach as opposed to an ils, so the plane stays in approach logic. Nothing wrong with this video.
